I never played a survival game and was looking at either this or citadel. Magic or melee, it doesn’t matter to me. What is Conan like. The trial on Xbox doesn’t work or I would play that to find out
I would suggest looking at gameplay videos to see which is more your style… but as a player of both, I would recommend Conan over Citadel. It’s more fleshed out and the building is much more intuitive.
Since it’s a sandbox game, you play the game how you want. There aren’t really quests, you chose what you want to do. If you like building, or just being creative in games, the building in Conan is the best out there right now. There are also so many different weapons and armors to make, with different combat combos for the different weapons.
All in all, I would suggest getting it! It’s been my favorite game since starting over a year ago, and there’s a ton of new content that’s come in that time.
Thank you for the reply. I’ve watched quite a bit of gameplay videos and they both look fun lol. I enjoyed AoC and I know Conan isn’t like it, but same universe. Can you build castle/forts and are there sieges? How is the pvp? From what I understand, Conan doesn’t have skills/abilities for melee or am I wrong?
You can definitely build castles and forts, it’s one of the best parts of this game! I don’t play pvp anymore, I like to build too much. There is a purge mechanic- where enemies will attack your base after you do enough stuff in the world.
As you level, you unlock feat and attribute points to spend. You can use these (and change them as often as you like by drinking certain potions) to create different builds to survive/do different things. You can also get stat bonuses from armors, weapons, potions, and tattoos. The different weapons have their own move sets, with light and heavy attacks for both.
