Sounds like you forgot your tin-foil hat
I am also interested in coming back.
I clicked on the link and it didnāt take me anywhere unfortunately.
Can you send me another invite link please.
I am downloading the game now and would love to power level a new class
This is the discord Aoc Lvl Up
Man havenāt played this game in years. Great to see pvp server is finally coming back! Definitely going to be downloading it. Hope to see yall im game
If by back you mean one guy with about 10 forum handles talking to himself, then yes, itās back
I was on a couple hours ago and ppl were on fighting and in global chat trash talking. So unless that one person is fighting and talking to himself id say ppl are playing there.
Iām a casual player myself. I mostly do questing. In my opinion, Itās a good game, you can sink many hours of fun into it. Also itās completely free. Donāt expect it to last forever tho. Play for what it is, get some hours of good fun, talk to some people, get together to do one quest maybe two, play a different game the next day. If your way of having fun is to rush through the content to get to endgame more power to you. From personal experience the times I did this I just found myself burned out of the game that much faster and not having an enjoyable experience. I found a lot of ppl on Crom doing quests. If there wasnāt anybody I would play it too, maybe not doing the most difficult quests but I think I would have an enjoyable time.
I also want to come back but I dont know if it makes sence. I am from germany. Are german players here?
Rene
Thereās a good number of German players, EU hours are stronger than US hours, by and large.
Hello together I have also often played with the thoughts to look again in Age of Conan then I had to realize that my account was blocked for inexplicable reasons or banned this is a pity because I was at the release of the game and had played for many years and also bought all addons. The support couldnāt really help me as Iām not really proficient in the English language the whole thing went with support a few times and didnāt help I gave it up to get my account back maybe some miracles will happen.
Honestly if i may share my own issue about returning or not, its about the lack of purpose.
If the RPG aspect dies thereās no sense of accomplishment afterwards.
Its this motivation that made it worth the effort you must put through to achieve certain goals.
The heart of AoC was the community itself.
The game has a story. After the story ends, you all make your own together. From Raids to PvP.
Same happened with BDO. I was left grinding my living daylights for ingame coin to buy gear or drop pieces i need to craft. What for though? Grind faster? More coin = bigger wardrobe to swap Costumes? No way i am going to grind a whole valley wasting 1 week of my life chasing a Virtual Tanga.
See what i meanā¦You get the idea.
I am getting a bit āāOff Topicāā here but i used to rant about AoC Lootboxes. Well at least they had value you could resell at the Trader and Relics that can be exchanged to speed up progression. Gold could help both you as well as your Guild.
AoC will remain a great memory.
I have to say i just joined the server Crom and couldnāt believe the amount of low lvs running around and low lv groups forming and the sheer amount of returning players from the past. Great too see the game population is in a up tick
Itās autumn soon. Same procedure as every year
Not trying to be negative but i bet 70% at least are the 10th Same Class Alt Re-Roll of old players.
Now if the Matchmaking Application comes at Crom i might become one of them as well.
It could revive aspects of Guild importance and some competition which in turn revives Guild City building as well as crafting and its associated Dungeon Runs including a trading market and eventually we have a really lively environment where clearing out content and technically train - outfit individuals for more fights to come becomes a daily thing.
Its all a chain of events where activity may Skyrocket due to the goals. One can only dream though.
The fact the Gaming Industry is āāOn holdāā at the moment due to upcoming new GPU Gen releases, combined with new Titles being in development which arenāt too many and some might take up to 2024 to be released, increases the chance of revisiting older titles people may know since most newer games feel like time trials and lack in the RPG aspect.
Thus they are quickly dropped in search for something that leaves more memorable experiences.
Of course we also need a younger playerbase since most of us found our jobs and playing Guards āāKeyboard Pianistāā may not be ideal after work otherwise the game will become Age of Demo.
