We have been at war for 2 weeks against a clan larger than ours. They tried it anyway but they couldn’t. Today they have mounted catapults and they had them closed with roofs so that we would not break them. so far everything normal. We were waiting in higher position so that when the roofs were removed they would shoot arrows at the catapult. what has been the surprise, that they have started firing the catapult without removing the roofs. the bombs passed through their roofs without any problem. is that allowed?

It’s an exploit and you should report them.

Wait till they step it up and replace the walls with 200k HP gate frames and drawbridges and put foundations on the roofs as well (170k HP).

this is a known (though apparently not necessarily widely) issue. it’s been around for some time, oh, since before siptah release. i remember testing this myself when they made a large tweak to trebs maybe about a year and a half ago? you could set up raid shacks with trebs in them, and you do the roof just low enough so that when the arm of the treb launches the projectile, the arm and projectile are actually just past the roof line when the projectile is released, thus passing through and not blowing up in your face.
is in an exploit? i suppose so. but i’ve never seen anything from funcom formally published against this tactic. as suggested, report them following the community rules and let funcom deal with it. in the meantime, explore ways to defeat it (and there are plenty). good luck!
edit: funcom has a nasty habit of taking a very long time to address certain issues that are painfully obvious bugs with their building system, or other mechanics. sadly when they take a long time to fix them, it virtually becomes defacto permission to use such mechanics… and then they turn around and ban people for using them. smh. this is why these days i mostly stay away from pvp, or at least on official servers.
they are ceiling pieces. they place the catapult between the foundations. three foundation rows up. and at that height, the ceilings.
To force the machine, and see if the administrators believe that it is the use of an exploit, I am posting the video for you to see. If it is use of exploit they will censor it xD. (sorry for the trick, but they do it in the game and nothing happens)

I mean, has anyone ever reported it as a bug and/or through Exploit Hunters? I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that Funcom never even knew about this, because there are many more innovative players than there are Funcom devs

ok, ya caught me and ya, i don’t go telling people, let alone funcom, when i find ‘features’ that are favorable to the way i play

We are 3vs6 and they also use the catapults that way. we change everything around
