Box of doomed items soon to be stolen.
I have questions about the logic of the new AOW chapter.
So let me get this straight You can put all your gold, silver, treasures and valuable items in multiple chests and hide them in a safe spot in your base with no problems or invest knowledge points and resources in a Treasure coffer that is basically a snitch telling his friends where I live and how much treasure i got alerting the purge to come get me?
If I don’t get a coffer does that mean I don’t get purged? Or does it stay as is with the random purges till I get one?
@Daemo, Treasure coffer will play the role of a convergence trap for a new purge.
If you don’t want purge, don’t put the Treasure coffer!
So he will be the trigger for new purge system? Interesting🤔.
It definitely feels like they’ve moved almost everyone to Dune. It doesn’t matter what dev you’ve talked to or what’s on the site, they may only be working on conan 1 day a week. The results speak for themselves. Age of War is honestly a surprisingly bad update. & it stings extra bad since they’ve made the Bazaar & skyrocketed the price of things. They said all that money would go into Conan development & yet this is one of the worst updates ever.
The balance is totally busted. The game is suddenly orders of magnitude easier even without legendaries. I can kill massive beasts like rhinos in less than one combo & they are stun-locked to death. I get lowering the boss dmg-sponges but now most standard mobs don’t even have time to swing. on top of that, the stamina changes essentially make me have perma-stam.
Then they left the bosses like the white wolf & the headless warrior with 1-shot power. The balance is truly awful. & I have the enemy health increased & player damage decreased! Everything that was supposed to make Age of War more challenging has made it completely boring! & main thing they should have nerfed (the 1-shotting bosses) they left in there!
Please Funcom the new balance is a terrible, unsatisfying cake-walk. Increase challenge through MECHANICS. give enemies skills & abilities. tells & projections. phases & weak points. the whole 1 shot kills & damage sponges are the most boring, frustrating, cheap type of enemies. But don’t make standard mobs just die in less than 1 combo.
Reply.
Agreed.
Trickled down droplets of content used as shield and curtain to cover for the lack of meaningful updates to the game in the form of expansion dlcs (full).
Players have offered already to purchase new map expansions as long as they are not sub par as Siptah was on first release and fleshed out fully before release. This doesn’t seem unfortunately to the business model preferred if the last few updates are any indication(s).
Depth doesn’t seem to be a priority either as the mechanics look to being simplified at every turn.
Haven’t touched that one yet. Knowing Larian’s track record, they produce wonderful, entertaining games with a rich story, and with more bugs than a giant termite mound. Divinity: Original Sin 2 had more game-breaking (as in actually “prevent you from progressing”) bugs than Conan Exiles ever had, and it took years to fix most of them.
I mean, I bought BG3 as soon as it hit Early Access, but I guess I’ll start playing it only after I finish my current backlog of games.
There are a few titles that came out swinging and are complete and not riddled with micro transactions. Minor bugs aside this summer has been a hotbed of games where you can feel the devs passion towards their games.
Even some of the more early access games are feeling great.
BG3, REMNANT 2 and many more who respect the players time, money and value their play experience.
I love Conan and I have gotten my monies worth. However I miss complete DLCs and I am over battle passes and Bazaar’s that do not respect my time or money.
I don’t like the direction it’s being taken and as far as I am concerned blocking world bosses should honestly be the least of our worries.
I agree completely here with you on all this.
Add in Diablo too, unbelievably successful game.
Conan is a beautiful, unique and satisfying game but it feels like a half-cocked afterthought now.
It’s had so much potential.
It might not be dead yet but if it continues down this path, with the gigantic broken bridges and cave ins, I fear it won’t be too long.
I believe the Game will be determined Dead when the Powers That Be are no longer satisfied with the revenue stream from the Bazaar/Battle Pass.
If the $$$ keeps coming in,they will use popsicle sticks and glue to keep the doors open if they have to.
I just wish it wasn’t popsicle sticks and glue… that’s what is happening now frik.
Yeah! I posted to the effect that … They can’t handle Conan … how bad will Dune be??? And POST DELETED. Lol.
Like …
Issue since 2019 … still happening. I also found a post from 2018 … same thing. Keeps happening to me on August 2023. Really? REALLY?
Sad.
Ouch.
Attacking Dune before it even begins? OH my…
The spirit of that is just awkward.
And given the title, I can only imagine it was a post full of constructive criticism and not just hatebashing.
