This is Getting old and Tedious Funcom

Fair enough.

Base game is not early access and its just as broke today as Siptah in case you missed all the things missing, not even in the game such as Queen bees and vines or a way to make ichor. Not the base map is not in early access but it is broke as heck today.

The thing that really irritates me about this patch is that it shipped with known issues. (again ) Why? Never mind all the other bugs (I can’t enter my modded game yet) Why did your crafting update overhaul go live with recipes missing from the new crafting benches as a known issues? What was the hurry? You didn’t have a DLC release tied to 2.1 like the whole patch 40/Argos DLC debacle. I could understand if the beancounters said it had to ship on time and your hands where tied. But this is ‘just an update’.

This :poop: is most definitely old and tedious.

LogNetSerialization:Error: FBitWriter overflowed! (WriteLen: -1, Remaining: 4014, Max: 4014)
Followed by
LogNet:Warning: Closing connection. Can’t send function ‘ServerOperation’ on PlayerController_0’: Reliable buffer overflow…

Closes all connections to the server, one by one, until the server is empty.

Please !!! permanban to glitchers!!!

Finally someone on the same page as me…

People Talk about undermeshing, missing stuff…how about the ones that cannot make their game run since the release of 2.0.

Imho, this should be the devs First priority instead of releasing Patches that could have very well stayed on testlive a Couple more weeks for sure.

For me this entire “charade” with Conan Exiles: The Exiled Lands is my worst gaming experience in the past 15 years. Seriously we are heading towards second month since the game does not run for certain people.

Isn’t that what they’re basically doing, except they’re not calling it Early Access or apologizing for it?

I have a server also I feel your pain. This is not he first time I had to wipe my server. I have lost 3 clients because of this 2 of them VIP Friends who refuse to start over. I do not blame them. I too am tired of starting over. Even with the free kits to get them started it is wearing thin on them.

It’s been the same song and dance with this game since it released. Why would anyone expect things to change at this point? When it frustrated me enough, I simply wiped it off my SSD. Now I check in here from time to time to see if it’s worth reinstalling. Apparently, not yet.

The game has come a long way and is definitely worth checking out. Especially if you haven’t played it in a year or more. They vastly improved the thrall AI. You can now level thralls. Horses are a blast.

Most of these people complaining are just that, perpetual complainers and whiners. Play it and do your own thinking instead of letting negative people influence you.

Letting aside if people like or dislike the changes, the actual patch was and in some respect is still a mess, 2 hotfixes later there is still stuff that is not working, Calling people, that point out these errors, whiners is just arrogant from you.
Most people that post here still care about the game and FC themselves stated that they need the feedback and I agree they do.
Just venture over to SteamDB and have a look, players are leaving the game in a constant stream since the inbetween high of the Siptah rollout and then go and have a look at concurrent players. Have a look where ark and rust are and where Conan is.
You can stay in your delusional niche and continue to tell people all is great or start giving constructive feedback to FC as well to keep the game we all love alive.

I like Conan Exiles. I didnt like those games someone mentioned in other reply. It depends of a players taste i guess. I like siptah. I highly hope the game will be much more better and balanced with next updates.

The reason I deleted the game was because of bugs and performance issues that haven’t been resolved as did at least four other people that I’m aware of that were playing on my server, which has since been shut down, and it was after Siptah was released. None of us bought the Siptah DLC simply because so many problems within the base game were never addressed. And nearly every single update has brought new issues.

I got the game in EA and put a lot of hours in early on and am well aware of how the game has progressed and my experience has gotten more and more frustrating with all but one update that I can think of. The game was in the best shape right after the mounts update, but that was quickly crushed in a subsequent patch. I’m also aware that from day one some people have claimed to have no issues with the game while many others have had nothing but problems. You can read all about that in these and other forums. I fit into the latter group. I won’t bother going into the unnecessary tweaks and changes to features that I dislike.

Although some may exist, to call most people venting on the forums complainers, whiners, and negative people is poor form. They’re just people who forked out money for a game, love the concept, and are extremely disappointed by the dev’s performance and their own experience with the game’s issues. They only want to see the game function properly so they can enjoy it and are expressing their frustration. I don’t fault people for that.

There’s a few folks who still use these forums and have been around for years whom I have a lot of respect for. When I see them praising Funcom and talking about the game being in great shape, I’ll consider putting the game back on my PC. Until then, I won’t have a game taking up over 100GB’s of space on my drive that I’m not going to play because I’m pulling what’s left of my hair out every time I play it.

The only reason I still show up here is because of my lifelong love of all things Conan and my desire to see Funcom pull a rabbit out of their hat.

Also whining and being negative about the game is a form of frustration. And as @Tascha said in the last dev stream: Frustrated people actually care about the game and want it to be good. These people invest time here on these forums to post their frustrations. If they wouldn’t care, they would just uninstall and move on.

I´m running a server using 22 mods, it was down for 2 days, but it works again now, after the second game patch yesterday even thought 2 mods have not been updated yet.
You don´t need to wipe the server, try running a backup if you haven´t yet.

But yeah, every update brakes the game lately, and even though I expect things to not work for a day or 2 at least, can´t say this doesn´t annoy me…

To invest in a new SSD and the DLC for the only game I have that’s given me this much trouble is akin to a dice roll. If I want to gamble, I’ll go to a casino.

Thanks for the input, but I’ll wait until I’m certain it would be worth it.

Ahem… This game saved them from going broke.

Very few people leave constructive feedback. Most people just whine.
This post is a good example of a whinner. No feedback, just asking why patches are being released and that game is broken and full of bugs, yet no bug has been mentioned in the opening post.
The players that care about this game are those that play testlive and report bugs, not those that come here to make noise and rage in an endless loop with nothing important to say, like you.

Funcom made the game. Your point exactly?
