At the very beginning I only played 1 month in a single game. The rest of the time I played on 5 official servers. Only recently made my own. Maybe I will start soon if there is no more work.
So fashion is not an option. And this does not change how the developers relate to the players.

This was not an exploit. I and others could not know about it. I am talking specifically about the structure of a 1 square foundation, 4 fence around the perimeter and 1 in the center. It was from the very beginning. When these structures were introduced.
Multi-fence are really ERROR. But to strengthen the foundation 1 with a fence in the center, this is normal. For this you do not need complicated actions.
Now their decision, how much I and others could understand in the following:
Instead of simply removing fences that intersect with the foundation, they will remove fences and foundations. This is utter nonsense. As a software engineer, I say this.
If I am mistaken, and the foundations remain intact, I do not see a big problem. And in that case, I apologize. If not, nothing has changed.
The real problem is solved by a simple cycle. You are looking for an illegal crossing. Next, by priority, delete the structure. For example, if it is a fence and a foundation, remove the fence and check whether there is an intersection yet or not. If there is, repeat, if not go ahead. If it is a wall and a foundation, the wall should be removed further.
This is a simple condition. Yes, it will load the server a little more once, but it will save players from suffering.
It is not our fault that the developers considered 1 fence or wall a mistake. Nobody said it was a mistake. It was impossible to understand unequivocally that this was a mistake. You can not punish players for developer errors. The player is innocent until proven otherwise. But everyone keeps saying that developers know better. Like a flock. Funny situation and terrible. Well, you play.
Where did they say they were removing that?

I have a doubt, I built a wall in a foundation, hence I lay a foundation on the foundation with wall, so from the outside appears the foundation but from the inside appears the wall ⊠that type of construction will be affected?
Unless it changed, the only way to do this is put the walls first, then the foundation. Being that it couldnât be done in any other way, i always thought this was a glitchy build. And using it to get more HP for defenses is an exploit. not every exploit is nefarious. Exploit is using something excessively in an unintended way. Exploiting doesnât make any one using a cheater. Its the same if you exploit a world boss off of a stair case death trap. Stairs were not intended to be used to kill bosses this way. But we as players exploit it. This is the same thing. Walls were not meant to place able around foundations. It is a glitch that allowed 2 items to share 1 spot in the db.
We really need an answer on placeables. I understand that if a chest is on a destabilized area, itâs going to fall and be destroyed. But will chests and other placeables that overlap with each other and with structures be impacted by this fix? Thatâs very important information, if someone official could please respond.

Thanks for the clarifications @Ignasi - I have already warned the players on my (modded) server to expect some excitement after the server is updated. The Mod authors are already perpping for similar excitements
All these enhancements and patches and adjustments from FunCom are welcomed and much appreciated. My exposure to Official servers, all the abuse and glitching stuff detracts from the game.

I know a lot of people are salty about this patch, but if people knew how easy it was to crash a server with a âCrash boxâ and how annoying it is to deal with, people would welcome this change ASAP.
If corrected really dangerous bugs and timely, it would be better. Tell your server, I can come after the patch and show that this bug is not worth being afraid of
Once this patch hits live, on June 18th 2019, on all official PC servers , any overlapping building pieces that have been built (building pieces occupying the same space) will be removed from all official servers, for instance fence foundations (in cross formations as well) and ceilings.
The bug is that you can not do this without such difficulties. Considering that this should be provided for by the game.
- You cannot create a normal interior design without double walls.
- You have gaps in the walls and it is ugly.
- Why canât I put concrete between walls?
Your base is awesome. I once went on a vacation for 2 weeks and came back to Conan to find that a 3 months of work vanished without a trace. Only a private server can save us. Wanna join hands and buy one?
Can someone from the Dev team please clarify if this affects non official servers? Also is having a fence foundation or wall against a normal foundation going to cause both pieces to disappear? I sometimes use this to change the look of a building
I also have boxes stacked ontop of each other and there are places that objects, deco or work benches might be intersecting with a wall because they dont snap it is nearly impossible to make them not intersect every time unless you place them in the middle of a room instead of against a wall. I am also concerned with benches that intersect with each other for example when trying to place blacksmiths back to back.
Give my freaking Derketo altar back spent 5 hours gathering all material to reach final tier from it & had 168 hrs since brand new & gone for decay that stupid logs say. you people full crap.

Yes, occupying the same space just as the glitches that let you stack fences and walls closer than they are supposed to be. As far as I know, putting a pillar in between 4 walls isnât a glitch.
Then tell me what the problem is?
We have id a fence, foundation, and other blocks. When at the point of space there is an intersection, we know the id of the blocks. According to the algorithm with priority, you can remove the block (and not all blocks intersecting), check again and move on.
Tell me, why delete the foundation and the fence at the same time?
What about stairs connecting disaligned pieces like this ones ?
What about ramps doing the same thing ?
What about grey areas ? (pieces disaligned, not compenetrating but really close to do it ?)
What about triangle foundations posed over squared ones ? Will are they still legals after the patch ?
What about foundation pieces compenetrating placeables ?
what about the bug FORCING you to build at MIDDLE of a foundation ?
What about elevators disaligned ? Are they even considered building pieces or placeables ? This still count as illegal ?
Sorry @Ignasi but the problem here is Funcom donât know what we need to be prepared to this.
If youâll say all the cases I showed are illegal, the âfixâ we need is to rebuild entire structures, so please explain me how we can do this when:

at current state the building system itâs still bugged, so the system DONâT ALLOW us to do this in certain cases in another way

the actual system allow you to build at each angle, providing you only 2 angle pieces (90°-square or 60° - equilateral triangle )

you didnât released a patch to allow us temporarly regain all building materials from demolition⊠we donât gain at all black ice for example by demolishing a black ice wall/foundation.

How do you expect us being able to use 40-50k hardened bricks or black ice to rebuild all without being able to take back materials from âillegalâ buildings ? Or how do you expect we could be able to do this while purge-o-meter goig to max level because what we build ?
Because the problem is not removing the illegal part, but the illegal part of the structure was the only way to save a wrong aligned structure, rebuild all structure is far away our possibilities at all !
Iâm a software developpers too, I accept bugs, but itâs a bad commercial strategy for a company making their customers suffers for the fixing of them like they was guilt and not companyâs faults.
