I got a Sonja the Strider today who starts with str and not agi. I’m a bit confused as to what to do with her. I know I can give her the Derketo bow but was not LF an archer. any ideas?

Since when is Sonja an archer?? Did she get changed? I remember her being a fighter.
they call her a fighter and she starts with Strength but her ranged mod is higher than melee. that is the issue I’m having with her
Damn you are right, they nerfed my girl so badly. The accursed version is still strong but this one is quite weak.
Yeah, now that I look at it the accursed has a 2.2 melee mod. I guess I will just get rid of this one
Its very simple for me- at 20 they will be what i want them to be. That being said however i tend to favor melee classes simple because its faster leveling AND killing.
For the purge i will actually use their highest stat and not even bother getting into the weeds with the hidden stats.
LIke this one for example- ill level her all the way up to 20 as melee for speed purposes but since im melee heavy on fighters i will make her an archer when done.
Her max agility damage bonus will be higher since she starts out at 20 .
This one is a purge thrall that will be a melee fighter all the way +14% strength bonus from gruel- thatll be 79% - her strength will be higher than her agility and then the respec will make her so.
I got 8 of this arch type on one server- Dina the master huntress an “Archer” but she melees like a mad dog- they kill everything with my support- i take no losses now.

My big issue with a thrall like Sonja the Strider is I like to play to a thrall’s strengths. So, when they have starting strength but a higher-ranged mod I’m not sure what to do. Do you know what I mean? I can like you say make it into anything I want but it won’t really be as strong as a thrall that say has starting strength and a higher melee Mod. So the thrall is almost useless.

Agree. But Sonja’s problem is also its slow leveling speed (0.4). This is even the main problem. Therefore, I prefer to level up the Black Dragon Elite Archers. I already have three Sonjas, but they are all in the chest, and I am not sure that I will ever get them out.
I find the spd in which a thrall level is more indicative of how good they are. The problem with Sonja in my opinion is not that she takes too long to level it is that her stats don’t match. At the moment I’m leveling Anja the Dervish and they level slow but she is a powerhouse. Good starting health tons of str and vit plus a 2. melee mod. you won’t find stats like that on a fast leveler.

Yes, I also chose her instead of Sonya.
I generally level up fighters to levels above 20, and the higher the level, the more important the leveling speed is. And if this is the hundredth level, then even some average slave with a multiplier of 1.6, but quick leveling, is preferable to a berserker and Dalincia.
Well, that is a completely different story if you are playing on a private server.
I just loaded ‘er up with a Momentum and strength armor and she’s doin’ alright.
Trying to level her up with an Ulric at the same time is killing me though.
