Thrall Cap / Base Consolidation

,

I have finally finished moving resources from one satellite base to my main digs and then completed the process of breaking bonds with 400+ thralls/pets. Yeah, I am that guy.

I will now start replacing the remaining thralls/pets with those I banked when I heard about the modifications.

Luckily, I have plenty of armor and weapons for them.

Just so we are clear, this is not a complaint. I play the game to build, thralls serve as guards for purges. When thralls and pets no longer had to eat, folks like me littered the game with, literally, hundreds of superfluous thralls and pets. I had 200+ thralls guarding the outside of one base and another 50 inside. One Inside Base Purge was so ridiculous because the enemy could not attack my structures as they were encased in thralls.

So, rules changed. I will adapt because I find this game enjoyable. They have not directed that I can only play one way like 7 Days did, which is why I no longer play 7 Days. I understand it is frustrating when a plan or technique is no longer effective. I’m still getting used to the way 2-handed swords attack and this new dodge, while technically more correct as a shoulder roll rather than a gymnastic injury inviting neck role, is slower and forces me to change my patterns.

But that’s okay. I’ve been involved in video games for, well, as long as they have been commercially available. Change is a constant.

After slaughtering our lot, we now have cupboards full of flawless armor and weapons.
Also house cleaned a lot of older armor and ground them up.

Our main base looks deserted. There are one Bearer and two pets, where a town once set.

On the bright side, found a bearer in a box we didnt know we had, and never heard of her. Lemons into lemonaide
