Thrall developement

Hi everyone, I like the aid I get from my thrall follower and it was fun discovering its usefulness to aid me play the game. However I hope to see the following improvements which in my opinion would really make having a thrall follower a must!

a) Thrall should follow the player intentions. If I give the thrall an attack weapon, a shield and a knockout tool to capture an other NPC, thrall should be able to swap weapons as his master (player) to give better aid to the player, even in mid fight. Unless the thrall health is already low, in which case thrall survival take precedence to new thrall capture. THIS I call good AI!
b) Thrall/pets should have an option to set them as aggressive to protect their player. I am no great fun of PVP, but joined the game to help my friend and both have fun playing together. Imagine being in my base surrounded by my thralls and pets and be killed by an other player which I did not see and all my guards standing idle! We builders and not very active PVP players are at a disadvantage here. If I have a defensive style of play, at least I need better protection from my defensive base/thralls. When I go in a NPC village I am apprehensive of what could happen, so I see no point why a PVP player can hide outside my base, surrounded by my guards and the guards do nothing! Please help. I really would like to be able to play in a PVP server using defensive skills so I can play with my friends. I have even experienced seeing players traveling in groups surrounding my base! Again this is not a balanced game if my guards stand idle! It defies logic. The king when in his base should boost the morale of his other thralls and make them harder to kill to even out a bit the balance between old players at their maximum level etc, traveling in groups and new players which most of time are alone trying to play in a PVP server.

As for the second suggestion, based on your description, it sounds like you’re playing on a PVE-C server. Can you confirm this?

When out of raid time, people can run all around your thralls and they will not attack. As for them being killed and not attacking, that could happen if a thral cannot get to the enemy player, which can happen if they are on an elevated spot and there’s no smooth way to get down or if your thralls were broken by the enemy player via throwing a throwing axe at them.

As I mention my friend is hell bend all out PVP player, so sadly yes it was a pvp server and the thralls and pets were outside on a level roof. And I was killed by a player while trying to unload from my pet. Got like 4 hits and was dead. I know my fault and I accept to die but apart from my follower there where four other pets,thralls around us and all they did was close it on us. Its OK for me to die as I am reckless and have problems paying attention to my surrounding but the thralls could at least land a hit or two giving me enough time to recover my shock and take action. Also Two pets were Caravan Rhinos so at least a charge from one could have send the intruder off the roof. An other feature of the Rhino is to lock the enemy in place for some seconds, this too would have been good. Do not get me wrong, I like the game a lot, and the reason for me to write here is to see an improvement on our thralls as I see when I go attack other npc units. i.e. They are alerted from far and they attack in unison and its great. In fact its so great that I lost a multitude of battles when I get reckless. Thus I wish to see that my thralls/pets that are on guard do their intended job :slight_smile:
