I mean, yeah if they can spam their healing of course.
Cannibal Brute was flattened by Red Mother. I doubt food would have helped. And even with high level gear still flattened.
All I’m seeing is cherry picked specific thralls that -might- be OP if you baby them and make them able to do so. And yeah it’s a PvE thing. A PvE choice to do that with them.
Not an issue until people pushed the thrall system as far as it would go and made it an issue.
Break it into numbers. 1 is the absolute most pitiful excuse for a thrall you could ever get. 100 is the absolute strongest thrall you could train and prepare.
People complaining that some thralls can get in the 90-100 range, through TRAINING, food, and high level gear, is absurd. They are supposed to be like that.
What they are blithely ignoring is the fact that not everyone does that or even cares to do that. But because some people do it, then complain that thralls are too powerful, everyone gets tarred and feathered with the same brush, and has to deal with the consequences.
It’s like playing Pokemon, literally. Finding the meta Pokemon with the perfect Nature, near perfect IVs, perfect EV training, the proper moves to complement them. Making a full team of 6 for that with intrinsic strategies in the moves chosen to work with one another.
Then complaining that they are clearly too tough.
And yes, I have played against a professional trainer that literally does all that. And she routinely wiped the floor with my a*s and her team. I’m talking about a bigger challenge than anything any Pokemon game itself ever offered. She was an absolute beast.
But that’s because she pushed the system to it’s very limits to make that team. And why she was so capable with it.
