So, I teleport into Cimmerian Camps obelisk and my thrall gets stuck there. Except I get killed before I see that. So I try to un-stick it.
Move it to flat walkable water. “Must be placed on Walkable surface”. So since when is a flat lake 300 meters wide and ankle deep not walkable?
Teleport to Sepermeru. But, my thrall stays stuck to the Cimmerian Camps obelisk.
Give up and get a new thrall. New thrall gets stuck on rock in Cimmerian Camps and … see above.
Get a third thrall. Which does not get stuck and helps me retrieve my gear 60 seconds before the timer runs out.
Let’s see now, this Bug has been happening in Cimmerian Camps since the patch where the Cimmerians learned to see through stone walls. I think that was about a year ago, maybe a bit more.
Yes this is new, they get stuck standing close to rocks, or if it’s a little hill…gotta tell you it’s no fun killing red mother and dealing with that bug on top of the old sink into the ground one.
Yep…this is getting REALLY annoying. My thrall is stuck in the middle of unnamed city…so I can’t move her away from that wall (her foot is stuck halfway in) and now I’m 5 clicks away and she still shows as following but 5 squares away
Games meshing is literally wrecked after 2.2, this is a very, common issue which is yet to be adressed. I save peoples horses and thralls from rocks and weird places in a regular basis for last 1 month.
A couple of things that work to get them unstuck. Sometimes kicking them, if you can get them to stagger back away a couple feet can do it. The best way I found, is to equip a shield and a truncheon (I prefer Lovetap), stand at an angle that will smack them away from whatever they are pinned and do a full heavy attack combo. The shield smash at the end will smack them a few feet away and they should be good to go at that point. If none of this works you can always just have them ‘Stop Following’ and they will eventually return to their last guard position. I have also just left them there in certain cases and eventually they will return the last guard place and be there when I log back in the next time.
Yeah, I know it doesn’t address the problem. I am just here to offer a workaround.
There is a toggle for this in LBPR (it’s off by default). I couldn’t ever come up with a test case to make sure the setting is working (the reports I got said that it only comes up when their server had a heavy population of players, not exactly something a mod author like myself can easily replicate), but from what I’m told it resolves most of the issues.
Note: I have no idea if disabling the check will result in any type of placement abuse. But if you are using LBPR, you probably don’t care about that much anyways
