I logged in just now to find out all my thralls are gone. My follower list is empty. I checked the building is in decay state. The logged says decay due to no member of the clan on line for too long. It means my thralls are instantly decayed when the building is in decay state. This is weird considering the thralls are usually still exist even after the building decayed, then will completely decayed after 10 days or so as per the setting.
That is exactly what I understand. In my case, it was instantly decayed the minutes the building entering decay state. The server log says follower decays due to clan member too long not being online, which is untrue, because as i checked the building is in decay status and still exist.
I have observed and tested various database decay errors on official servers. With an updated timeout of 240 hours before destruction, the client may receive an erroneous counter that does not match the server’s refresh time. The most classic example is the destruction of magical portals a few hours after the last check with a hammer. The entire database receives a 240-hour update, and the portal receives a FALSE update without adding time. After that, the portal on the base is destroyed. This mistake is confirmed by other players.
We probably have separate timers that do not receive a response on the server. I tested this on the official PVE Siptah servers No.6010 and No.6422. I repeat, this is a server error, as other players have also complained about this problem.
Actually the portal disappearing bug is not from incorrect decay timers, its another bug caused from the server doing a check to see if a player structure is too close to a npc camp. This especially is bad near bastards stand, you need to make your portal pretty far away from it or it will poof your portal. Its been like this since age of sorcery. Theres just certain areas you can’t place portals or they get despawned
On official servers, thrall decay and building decay are both set to 240 hours (10 days). Log in after 241 hours and your thralls will be gone but your buildings still there unless someone has taken advantage of their decay state and destroyed them.
I see the opposite picture on official PVE servers. Bases are being destroyed and turned into bags of resources, and slaves and animals are standing on the ground and hanging in the sky. Yes, yes, some are dancing in the air.
its been a thing since probably 6 months of more, i made a ticket, and a post, they received it, but never said if they worked on it , and if they fixed it,
it seems thats not the case.
another broken stuff that can potentially break hundreds of hours, and no responsability from funcom side.
I saw a false timer for updating (adding time) structures on the official server. I increased the timer from 65 to 67 hours (not 240!), and then to 192. After a while (<<192h), the building was destroyed.
Well, i’ve been playing conan exiles for more than 8500 hours. I must be very stupid not to know that. But, a few weeks ago one of my base decayed completely and i still saw all of the follower guarding the empty land. It has been the case for so long. I found so many thralls guarding empty land during my exploration of the map in my time of playing conan exiles. That does not explain the statement.
We had the same issue, we lost all our thralls after a short pause of 4 days. The base and all other stuff was still there. That issue was reported many times now, but no one cares. We stopped playing on officials and disabled decay entirely on our servers, since then we didnt lost a single thrall.
My 8500+ play time in conan is a lie then. Strange thing is every time I explore the map, both in Siptah and Exile Land, I saw many thralls guarding empty land, certainly guarding something before. As far as I know since day 1 i play conan exiles, the thralls will decay later than the building.
It’s not the first time I’ve seen reports of missing thralls.
In some cases they fall through the floor:
Through the textures of the base and are inside the blocks, then the blocks need to be broken;
They fall through textures, then either a return through the list with the loss of inventory or an Administrator option works.
But sometimes they just disappear from the server, they are erased.
Yes, we often see horses abandoned for a long time and garbage thralls dancing in the sky. But this is just the other side of the bugs from the Funcom.
