My boyfriend logged into server #3522 last weekend and since then around the middle of this past week to prevent decay (within 10 days before decay) but today to his surprise when he logged in again all his thralls have decayed but his buildings are fine. It says they decayed due to player not logging in for too long which is not true. The other thing that we find odd is that they decayed on two separate days. I have also logged in to the server between those dates to prevent decay.

The Decay time for Thralls was not set the same as the Decay time for Buildings.

The source is people losing their Thralls when their buildings are still over 5 days before their buildings decay. If you say decay timers are at 480. You would think it meant both Thralls and Buildings.
When the timers were put back to 240hrs, it was fine for the buildings. But the Thrall decay timer acted like it was always on 240hrs.
They should stop changing to Summer hours.
Or just leave it on Summer hours.
ok so still no official communication of funcom on this subject sadly, but after yes it’s what i explained on all threads notiying FC by the way.
Decay timer of thralls and building don’t work in the same way, the easy way to manage would have been a default value of 20 days for decay timer of thrall, and 10 days for building (so when they will do summer decay timer and extend the decay for building at 20, when they will revert back to 10, thralls decay count with a value of 20 will avoid people to loss their thralls, because server simply checks the last time you connected and compare it to the decay timer value for thrall, and erase thralls if value of last connect is superior (so when they changed to 20 to 10 for thralls the 2nd september it was an immediate erasing for thralls)
so yes we all lost hundredo of hours or even more of playing (well grint) time to equip and train thralls due to an error of management of FC (and this not the first time)

So frustrating; I lost over 100 followers. Such a stupid oversight by Funcom, yet again. And the fkn inventory system is still not functioning properly.

You mean your clan lost because it’s not just you and 9 alts so you can have 100 thralls right?
How many benches do you have set up total in all your bases; and I know you’ve got at least a dozen right?
When the age of heros goes live all your bench thralls, your artisans will count in you thrall max. What are you going to do with your excess thralls? You wont be able to place bench thralls as long as your thrall count is at max. So just how many fighters, archers, dances, and bearers are you going to let go so you can have artisan bonuses and recipes on your benches?
This is going to be such a surprise to many.
yes after 4 month inventory is still bugged with a ui change that nobody asked.
what is the state of conan with funcom blind and deaf; try to play : decay timer system that you cannot trust and that can make you lost all, inventory bugged and not trustable neither, your toon can die at the moment where you disconnect (something like 1% percent probability), then siptah still large part of the map that will require 3-5 login tries and relaunch of the game engine to connect (rest will be game crashing), then corrupt pack files bug that has also comes back(after being resolved for a long period) where you need to check all install with steam check to solve (20-30mn) before being able to connect again. how can a commercial product after 8 years be in this state mr manager at funcom ? a state worst than the early access state…
What funcom is bad about is putting off updates that could fix issues.
On the beta client I don’t have to log out in a pit, and only been 1 occasion where everyone dropped through; some one started a purge. I haven’t had a thrall drop through any foundations; have had them vanish off my wheel to the multiverse where they are counted in my thrall total but inaccessible; game can’t find them to delet them.
And you’ve reported these bugs, right?
See that is the thing, players will gripe all day about an issue but never file a bug report then wonder why it doesn’t get fixed.
What people don’t seem to realize is a good portion of time when you have issues it’s not the game. If it was EVERYONE would have the same issue.
The pass through foundation bug is a game bug everyone has had.
The game crashing everytime you try to load it is an issue on your end.
Not sure why people don’t realize not everyone is playing on the same rig, and that is what makes the difference. Some play on consoles so issues they have wont effect PCs and vise versa. Some are playing on old lap tops while others are playing on the next gen gaming rigs. But no one seems to realize that.
So what funcom needs to know, especially for people that share some odd ball bug, is what you are running it on.
Years ago when i was still alpha testing apps I was alphing Carrara, I hit a bug I could get to work on command every time. They couldn’t get it to happen, no one else on the alpha could either. Took some one with an identical graphics card that hit it to find the issue.
The issue wasn’t the app, it was the graphics card running it.
Not at all sure why the bug reports never ask about your rig. Not sure how a developer addresses an issue that is PC or graphics card based with out knowing that info. Of coarse that might explain their issues with solving issues.
I’d been doing alphas/betas since I’ve been online starting with winrar. I’ve done quite a few closed, invite only alphas and beta. I quit with Definace, but this is not how you do a beta test.
I guess it’s because in all of those I could directly speak with the developers. Quit often they were right there in game chat on the alpha forums. Hell when I was alphng ACR the CEO of Eutechnyx banned me because I told him he drove like crap. Was back the next day, the lead over turned it.
But this, I report a bug here, in the forum, not even an actual bug report, just some forum post and wonder why funcom can’t fix it.
Something I get told often enough because I’m old is, just because you have been doing something for years doesn’t mean you’ve been doing it right, funcom.

and you are not aware of the 10 months of totally buged siptah where they even had to remove decay timer ? because game was not allowing to log at all in some specific location. they patched it in the way i said where at least you can log after 3-5 tries sadly. when before there was no problem at all to log on siptah…

Now did the game not let anyone at all long in or people logging in to specific servers had issues, which servers{private, public, single player}? What mods were you running? How do you connect? What servers do you connect to{EU, NA, what the restare}? What type modem do you run? How is your ISP? Now tell us about your rig.
When people filed the reports did they just gripe on the forum or turn in a full info bug report?
I’m not saying it’s not a funcom issue, I’m just trying to get it through to you just how complicated it can be to fix these issues.

and if you think the game is stable actually and don’t see any problem i am sorry to say you probablty simply don’t play to it.

I don’t play Siptah, you do get not everyone has or plays on that DLC map. Siptah isn’t the game. You clearly do not get that.
Not everyone plays your game on your rig with your ISP in your area do I need to go on?
i sure understand you don’t care about others, but siptah is a commercial game of funcom, part of conan, and i bought this commercial product as lot of other people, and the state of siptah and conan exiles is not good, and for all we are talking about a COMMERCIAL COMPANY.

I just logged in to the EU and American servers for Siptah on the beta client no issues. A fresh and older character no issues.
Same with live. As I said, not everyone is having the issue. And funcom can’t solve it till they can figure out what the people having he issues have in common. Not sure how to explain this any more simply.
Same here, bases fine but all 95 thralls gone just on exiles. All siptha thralls amd rare pets alsp gone. 2500 plus hrs wasted. Funcom could care less it seems.
Well I don’t waste time leveling thralls, but if I lost all my standing thralls I’d be real aggravated, especially losing all those T4 women, but I enjoy thralling, so it really is a matter of perspective.
I’d like to say none of them are scantily clad, but have you seen the agility bonuses for the gold bikini?
