I just pointed out that you are totally wrong and have reading problems if you think that’s what he mean so you should not speak on topic in that case as it will be biased.
… also i inform you that flag feature is to be used only in case someone violated any rule
of guidelines maybe you should read it?
Fair enough. The base game is targeted for officials. Some people find the base settings to easy. Some, too hard. The equalizer, in my mind, is the modding side of the private servers/solo.
As you are able to do so, investigate the mods. adjust your server settings. Use the tools available to make it the game you want to play.
This.
Its actually embarrassing that people have no clue about game balance vs personal preferences.
But everyone has on opinion and a right to post it I guess.
I can’t believe you seriously think PvE balance is fine as it is.
I did read CodeMages 4th Post, makes sense, everyone can play however he wants to and all that.
I am totally fine with that, i am not enforcing anything to anyone here.
But he is also just ignoring the balance issues with such a mindset to simply not use stuff in game when it comes to PvE.
Bosses are just tank&spank, they would require a lot of work to make them more challenging.
Arena Champion is no challenge, just stand behind thrall, block incoming attacks for your thrall, Champion dead in no time.
The game is extremly unbalanced in PvE if you can steamroll the entire PvE Content with just 1 thrall and with not even the best armor or the best weapon.
If you can’t see that, then yes, this thread is pointless, let’s move on, let’s keep ignoring game design problems, let’s keep ignoring such threads about PvE “difficulty” entirely like we have done so before the past few years.
I also said that But everyone has on opinion and a right to post it I guess. Try reading more in depth, thank you.
Why I bothered to even entertain posting on such an inane topic puzzles even myself.
Maybe it was the fact that after NUMEROUS intelligent people tried to explain to the OP that it has nothing to do with game balance they just keep parroting “game imbalance.”
This right here is one of my biggest issues with PVE. The aggro of mobbing is Func9ms way of making game harder…but it is a bandaid easily avoided by creep and kite technique.
The problem here is, it has a lot do with game balance if you can afk steamroll everything with just 1 thrall.
How is it even possible to not see that?
Ok sorry, yes i know very well who CodeMage is, i know even who you are JJDancer.
I know who are longtime players here and all that, i watched the forums closely the past month.
It is just sad that some of you folks don’t really want to see the true problems here.
It just makes me sad, i don’t know what else to say.
To those who say not using thralls is an option to vreate a more challenging experience on PVE, then why have them at all. They are a huge drain on server performance so if I can’t use them to get a more rewarding (for me) experience 8n PVE, then why should I have to suffer the server issues they cause?
I didn’t want to get involved in your dispute with Jupp but I would like to see more feedback concerning the point OP has. Flamming the post because you don’t like where it leads is not the way to go.
“One flower doesn’t make it spring!” and I’m sure Funcom has the proper filters to get the feedback they consider important and worth expanding on.
Well because some of us think the game would be too hard without them. That is the beauty of the system. Everyone can play the way they find the most satisfaction. This can even be different for just what mood you are in. Are you farming or do you want to test your skills? Well you can do both just change it up. I love using different types of thralls different levels different gear mounted not mounted with and with out all the various buffs available etc…
This game provides an amazing amount of variety if you take advantage of it.
For me that is PVE mounted and with a thrall but that is just me.
Aye, i have done so the same for a long long time, but i believe it was a III fighter.
Still, it was a lot of fun until i discovered my first “normal” T4 fighter, it became significantly easier.
A week later i discovered Relic Hunter Fighters and, well… yeah…
Except I have to choose the lowest leveled thralls to even get a challenge.
You say it would be too hard without them…but That is your choice not to use proven techniques…daggers for bleed stacks, axes for 4th combo knockdown cheese on ground attack…poison arrows…object mesh separation cheese. All are easy to apply and not worry about 90% of game content.
We would just like better ai and less HP tank styles for thralls.
Problem-
OP the thralls are imbalanced because they are too strong and we can steamroll everything ingame… Solution-
Stop using thralls and fight bosses solo… Or use lower-level tier thrall. Come Back-
Thats a work around not a solution…
What are you asking for??? People are happy with the thralls being OP in PVE because they dont play this game mode to work harder… if you want the “hard” or “challenging” experience DONT USE A THRALL. Its pretty simple!
The ask from all these back and forth posts is to change the “inbalance strength”?
But then you are just making it not fun of those that want a chill experience. Stop using the best thrall in the game with the best weapon in the game problem solved…
Fine…but then rename it from PvE to GnB…grind and build. Because that is the onlybreaon players would want a face plant mechanic. Not saying it isn’t a style…just it is not PvE.
