Top 5 things you would like to see in the 3.0 update!

This is because of lack of defenses against offlining and bombs. So my 5 things would be:

1: Better Defenses against offlining and bombs for structures
2: Better Defenses against offlining and bombs for structures
3: Better Defenses against offlining and bombs for structures
4: Better Defenses against offlining and bombs for structures
5: Better Defenses against offlining and bombs for structures

Maybe, but some of us wipe servers then move to the next, theyre always online, why? Because the fight is what we :heart:. Offline raiders are usually the unskilled ones, those people atleast on xbox servers seem to be a thing of the past, or maybe its because we have people online during the entirety of pvp time.

Either way, weve been a little more easy on certain types the last 2 years, like solos or coops, and clans that just want to be friendly builders, in the past if someone contacted us it got ignored, these days we dont wipe the whole thing just bigger clans, especially the hostile ones

Funcom should only focus on balancing PvE.

PvP will always, always, always be unbalanced because every time Funcom tries to find a balance…

The PvP’er will naturally attempt to gain an advantage through an abusable mechanic. This results in a “Meta”… and that results in alternative builds meant to defend against said “Meta”.

It’s endless, and fruitless to try and please PvP’er types. They will always seek out the most efficient way to destroy their “enemy” and ultimately ruin their own fun.

The best thing Funcom can do is make this a world class PvE game… and let the chips fall where they may regarding PvP.

Meta’s will develop, players will adapt, it will be what it is.

But making stupid changes to healing, dodging, horses, and other mechanics based soley on the whims of players that will immediately seek out ways to abuse the changes… is self defeating.

I like PvP. Conan Exiles PvP is toxic. All “survival” type PvP is toxic. You basically steal other peoples stuff and there is always a loser, with no swift or satisfying justice or retribution. It’s a losing strategy.

FPS don’t suffer for that mechanic. You die, you respawn, you fight again quickly and have satisfaction of securing a kill relatively quickly. The losses in Conan Exiles related to PvP are, crushing for some people. Games hard, losing weeks or months of work is even harder.

I look forward to Dune and hope it’s learned a lot of valuable lessons from Conan Exiles. In the meantime I will keep playing CE and hoping for the best.

Sounds like a good way to surefire kill half of the game, id say the opposite… if pvp finds balance then the hard part is done

So because you don’t like full loot pvp that means no one should enjoy it?

Im pretty sure this game was advertised as a full loot pvp game to begin with

Regardless if it was or not any new player who dies off spawn and looses their water skin knows right away what they are getting into.

I’m just waiting for them to address the issues that are actually killing pvp and then I won’t be on these one sided forums.

I think they said they fixed to 1 shot lance issue in 3.0 which is great, its why half my clan left last run through. Most like ground combat and on that 1 server lag that happens every few seconds in gvg combat just to get 1 shot because the dodge didnt respond is annoying af

I think one way pvp could be addressed (and I have seen that some creative folks are going this route, looking at you, @biggcane55 !) is by using mods on PC to try out the trade space to see what could work, then if it does, it could focus Funcom on a system that might be worth investing time and money for officials. If many people do this and find a system that draws lots of people, it could solve many problems at once. The forum is full of ideas and theory, but putting it to practice would potentially separate a simple theory from an actual solution. I myself am thinking to do some work on this (more to come later…) even though I’m primarily a pve-er. Healthy, workable pvp for CE can only be a good thing.

Funcom has literally stated that most of their player base plays on PvE.

I never said to do away with PvP.

What I said was it’s unwise to cater to minority PvP whims at the expense of your majority PvE playerbase.

Funcom themselves admitted it to be the case. It’s simple logic.

PvP servers won’t bring in the Battle Pass revenue that PvE servers do. I am certain Funcom’s new masters at Tencent are aware of this.

Probably with alot of off the record topics, since theyll get flagged asap, the first few years it was majority pvp as that was original intentions on the game if you go by advertising.

Not gonna talk shet on the game but theres alot to compete with with alot of upcoming titles if its pve main

You may not have said do away with pvp, but “balance pve and let the pvp pieces fall where they may” is exactly that

“Battle pass wont bring in the revenue that pve will” id wager against that, since most pvp players will use whatevers best, but most of us like to kill in style, and ive seen this in many games and now we have a “mog” system
