Turan armor for cold weather is stupid

first of all they made skins for animals like rhino and elephant do they know that rhino and elephant habitat are not on cold area’s why make armor for cold area when your pets habitat are for hot area.
idk why are turan people that stupid?

It totally is. They create a building set which looks like it belongs in the desert, yet if you wear the epic versions of the armour you wont be able to wear them in the desert or in your base because it’s going to make you hot to the point of heatstroke.

Seriously -wtf.

It was bad enough with the Pict set looking like it’d been plucked from the colder northern regions then having heat resistance - heavy furs and the like in the desert. It’s like whoever is making these decisions hasn’t left their climate controlled house/office.

Khitan i can borderline understand, but even that being cold resist is a bit questionable. Aquillonian is fine. Yamatai being heat resist also makes sense.

Turan at the very least should be heat protection. It’s seriously bizarre that it’s cold.

yeah the structure is for desert yet your getting heatstroke at your home when wearing the turan dlc…

I agree I only purchased the dlc because I thought it would be heat lol it clearly should be heat gear.

Did you check this ingame? Does it really give heat resist? I’m thinking of buying this DLC for building set but there is no official information about it, armor only.

Maybe Turan DLC armor isn’t the stuff they wear at home. It’s the armor they wear when they leave home and go raiding and conquering colder regions.

That’s an imaginative bit of an attempt to explain it, but sorry for me it still falls flat.

If the present DLC armour was created for raiding colder lands, then it would be reasonable to believe that a Turanian craftsman could also create heat-resistant armour too.

Vanir armour being cold-resistant makes sense, they came from the cold northlands. Turan armour being cold-resistant does not make sense - the devs themselves have described the Turanians as proto-Iranians. They come from a desert-hot land, they should know how to make some heat-resistant clothing.

Sorry, but Yamatai being heat doesn’t make sense at all either. It should be cold.
It is inspired in Real World Japan and that is not a hot climate country. Of the four main islands the north most one has subartic climate. The rest range from moderate cold with heavy snowfalls to mild, all quite humid. Only the south most small islands have subtropical climate.
I insist, Yamatai being hot resistant is an error.

Kyth.

WTF I only purchased the dlc because I thought it would be heat :frowning:

“The ambitious Turanians (often calling themselves Hyrkanians, after their ancestor race) made forays in all directions as they attempted to enlarge their empire. They had usurped most of the important caravan cities of the Eastern Desert by Conan’s time, crowded the eastern frontier of Zamora, taken over the caravan route to the Far East with the assistance of their kinsmen, the Hyrkanians of the far eastern steppe, and even invaded Vendhya.”

As an imperialistic society that dominated most of the known world, and considered one of the wealthiest also, it is not a stretch to to have them wearing cold armor…

the yamatai is clearly Japanese and as already mentioned and it really should not be for the heat the new dlc is Iranian or Persian and cold there does not do and finally the picto as it can be for the heat that just see the armor one gets to sweat, I think that when I heat the armor less dense and when more cold, more dense

And in this DLC turan pets are…rhino and elephant…animals from Africa, or Asia…where climate is warm. Please, funcom switch to hot protection, because it’s not make sense for the moment…

It really seems like they flip a coin with this

Well, it’s very cold in the desert at night. But in terms of the game is strange…

anyway, in desert in this game (by night or by day) these armors are unusable. It’s usable in snow…So…no coherence.

What make you think Turan is a hot place ? If you look at a map of Hyboria you’ll see Turan in very central west, south and east of the Sea of Vilayet. With steppe without any mountain rang in the north. A continental climate could be very cold in winter. Especially without anything to prevent cold air from the arctic to come.

I mean the armor the building is for desert but the armor is for cold weather when you build a base on desert using the turam building and wear your armor you get extremely hot on certain areas and heatstroke

The temperature effects of many armors in-game seem to be the result of a confused dev. Is the sun meaning it is against or for more warmth?! That would be the only explanation for some choices.

The temperature system needs an overhaul very badly anyways. That heat protection stuff is cooling you further down in the north than being naked is just meh.

All logic went when Zamorian thief went cold resist.

Khitan is Cold
Pict is heat
Yama is Heat
Aqu is Heat

We actually need more cold

I guess Turan was that decision. Although khitan already offered us cold strength armor and Light Survival we had with Lemurian pretty dress of fanciness.

We are going to get a cimmerian or a North DLC when the game hits a huge anniversary or something.

I hope we get Vendhya next personally

But I do feel heavy restricted in my playstyle by armor.

I have been playing forever. But I’ll go everywhere but the north because I like archery and we dont have a set that does that.

The north biome is compeletly lost in me
I dont even bother. Id have to respect my build and that bores me because id have to respect again as soon as I left
