Um, mislead? why cant i travel to isle of siptah?

ive been playing conan exiles for some time, and i only play with my daughter and my step dad (who gifted me this game in steam and turned me on to it) via single player co op…
you see… this is the ideal way to play any game really, no hackers, no exploiters, no worry of server crashes, etc. etc… i could go on there…
no, its just me and my my family, or friends, or both, CASUALLY enjoying a game together, the old school way…
unlike many people nowadays, i and my kinfolk and friends do not live alternate lives in fictional worlds. we have real lives.

now to the topic headline,

i feel i have been mislead by purchasing the isle of siptah “expansion”,
you see, an expansion in the gaming world, would suggest and typically is just that, an expansion to an existing game.
NOT, a whole different game, that has to purchased inside the game you have,

this would be comparable to, IF, Bethesda made you purchase oblivion, inside of morrowind, as an expansion, when the two have nothing to do with eachother and they arent actually connected in any way other than story line?!?!?!?!?! or make you purchase skyrim as an expansion to oblivion, when indeed aside from the fact that they both take place in the same world, have nothing to do with each other ultimately,

HOWEVER modders have made it possible to run morrwoind inside oblivion, and oblivion inside skyrim, but FUNCOM cant make the very EXPANSION they ADVERTISED, part of the the game that they advertised it as AN EXPANSION TO?

Why didnt FUNCOM release Isle of Sitpah as its own stand alone game if it in fact, IS NOT AN EXPANSION TO CONAN EXILES and ultimately is a standalone game?!?!?!?!

I for one, DONT CARE WHAT PEOPLE THINK THAT LIVE INSIDE THESE VIDEO GAMES.
FUNCOM has an OBLIGATION to give what they ADVERTISED…
I would like to see SIPTAH as AN EXPANSION to EXILES as it was ADVERTISED, A PLACE I CAN TRAVEL to with the charscter i have made, be it the current leveled up character or a new one, Frankly, I WOULD HAVE NEVER PURCHASED IT IN THE FIRST PLACE had i known it was an “online only” SEPERATE GAME ALTOGETHER

BAD FORM FUNCOM… BAD FORM

Start a fresh, new experience on the massive Isle of Siptah. Explore sun-drenched beaches strewn with shipwrecks, dense and tall Redwood forests, broad valleys dotted with ancient Acheronian ruins, a resettled Stygian colony, ominous camps overrun with pirates and the foreboding Tower of Siptah at the island’s center.

Thats what steam says about the expansion.

Additionally they have been working on a way to transfer characters from map to map on servers.

Nothing about what they posted about Siptah was misleading. At least not to me. I understood it as a new map and on release they said they would be working on ways to have existing characters transfer.

Hi,

Welcome to the forum!

Siptah requires multiple assets from the base game, such as building pieces, thralls, pets, and recipes. Hence why it is not a “stand alone” game, and is rightfully described as an expansion.

Fortunately Funcom made this option available, and you can read more about it here;

If you are dissatisfied with the product you purchased you can learn how to request a refund on;

Steam

XBOX

PLAYSTATION

However, as you have been enjoying Conan with your family for “some time” your purchase is most likely no longer eligible for a refund.

Good luck!
