Is Steam in “Offline Mode?”
As long as Steam remains in Offline Mode you will not be able to play Conan online.

Shit yeah I’ve forgot to turn Steam online every time i’ve tried to play the game since a month.

To be serious, I’m not the only one that got this problem, I’m waiting for Funcom answer since I haven’t seen any solution from community on other similar topic.

If you’re willing, there’s something we could try to do, to help diagnose this:

  1. Download and extract BUGLE.
  2. Run BUGLE and set the logging level to “Trace”.
  3. Close BUGLE.
  4. Open your Game.ini file in an editor.
  5. Look for a section called [FuncomLiveServices].
  6. If you find it, remove the whole section (i.e. that line and all the subsequent lines that start with CachedUsers=).
  7. Save the file.
  8. Make sure Steam is running and that it’s not in offline mode.
  9. Run BUGLE.
  10. Wait until the “FLS Account ID” field says anything other than <Fetching...>
  11. Take a look at what it says.

If it’s a bunch of digits and letters, then you’re able to log into FLS, but maybe there’s some other problem with your account.

On the other hand, if it starts with < and ends with >, then that should be a description of the error FLS sends when you’re trying to log in.

At any rate, after doing this, there should be a bugle.log file in the same directory as the bugle.exe, and it should contain the response FLS sent.

Okay, I’ve had a chance to look at the log, and I’ve got good news and bad news. Good news:

  • Your computer has no problem reaching FLS servers.
  • You do have an FLS account and you can log into FLS with your Steam credentials successfully.
  • You’re not banned.

Bad news: I have no clue why the game would claim that you can’t login.

I know the game makes other calls to FLS after the login call – to fetch your identity token, update your statistics, get your friend list, etc. – but my launcher does none of those calls, so I can’t tell you if the problem is there or not.

I would try opening a Zendesk ticket, setting the request type to “Official Server Performance”, and then describing the problem in the ticket. While this isn’t a problem with just official server connection, it should still qualify to get some support.

Make sure you include your FLS account ID, not the Steam account ID, in the ticket.

Well, as usual, Zendesk just autoreply with a bot, and boom issue solved. I need an answer for dev here i guess, but they will look into it this problem when RolePlayer gonna cry on twitter because they can’t login, or people barking they can’t bought anything from bazaar i guess.

Update -
I fixed by uninstalling and reinstalling on a different disk.

I was just about to post that this issue troubles me consistently when I am (due to my timezone) often the first person to log into my official server in the morning. The server usually refuses my connection multiple times before finally letting me in. It cannot be congestion, there is literally 0 people on the server ahead of me.

Just to let you know. Steam allows to copy a game from one disk to another back and forth. This way you do not have to download it all over again.
