Unconsious NPCs swallowed by the earth

Bug Description:
Again, my deepest apologies to the veterans who have to endure peeps regurgitating historical bugs; but they are there, and I will report them.

Skeletons do not fall through, and they have the same rig as humans, as pointed out by @DeaconElie. Why do skeletons do not fall through… that’s a question I would ask you. Is it not time to fix this? Often I knock an important NPC out, only to watch it be swallowed by the earth right in front of my eyes, staring in awe as his name and heathbar get smaller and smaller as it sinks into oblivion. Sometimes, if you come back after a while, they will re-render… sometimes.

C’mon, FUNCOM, focus on what matters, in all those bugs that, frankly, make the game unplayable; show some freaking love to the game we love so much. You have a perfect game in your hands, and you are letting the bugs eat away at it’s perfection; can we get serious, once and for all? Honestly, if I weren’t playing Single Player and was not my own admin, unable to salvage or replace the time you stole from my precious gameplay, I could not possibly play this game.
Geeeez.

Bug Reproduction:
Coming back to retrieve an unconscious NPC.

An added problem with this issue that often does not receive mention - the usual suggested workaround of leaving render range and then coming back has two problems. First, as noted above, it does not always work, and second in singleplayer it is not safe to leave render range, as that is also the trigger for the game to reset the area. This requires dancing a fine line between going far enough to (hopefully) enable the submerged thrall to pop back to the surface, without going far enough that the camp resets (thus necessitating fighting through it all over again, even if the missing unconscious thrall has not also been permanently lost in the same reset). Given that valuable thralls are already an RNG lottery to acquire, having extra chances to miss out on them can be extremely frustrating.

What is the difference between a human and a skeleton besides the appearance?
Skeletons do not fall though.
I know the mesh is different and the textures, but why does one not fall though and the other does?
Well apparently fall through, if you search you can find them, or their hook/prompt.
I know I’m being dumb but if a basketball falls though the court and a soccer ball doesn’t, what makes the 2 different? Aside form the skin.

But what about vanishers? Dead or knocked out NPCs that just vanish when not in your LOS.
You’re fighting a gang, you drop a couple turn to fight the other 2, drop them turn back, no bodies, turn back around, yup them too. Real fun when you are trying to gather 500 souls to unlock an… incense burner

You raise an impresive point; why not apply the same physics? Could it be that hard? Aw well, I have no idea, but your argument has a lot of weight, I never saw this through that precise lens.

I have seen bodies sink into the ground or more recently get flung into it. so not just the unconscious NPCs this happens to. lucky mostly just been minor random ones. though did lose a 1 skull in the wine cellar dungeon’s loot the other day.
