LOL no you are being dense. I was speaking to time lost, grinding mats in a game is easy, as I just laid out it’s stupid easy. But there are PvE players screaming at PvP players saying their time is more valuable than someone on a PvP server. That their precious thralls were lost, and making it seem like they are more important. People’s time was lost, no one can get it back, and my opinion is that a rollback was a horrible idea. I play PvP servers, used to loss when a 10 man clan and blows your crap up, lost a thrall I’ll just go buy and level another in 7 mins no problem.
Well, it is really as they say. It’s hard to win an argument with a genius, but it’s impossible to do so with an idiot.
You turned out to be a big disapointment. I thought you were a better person.
No, they did a roll back, if I remember correctly, on servers thatvhad somenkindbof corrupted data.
The time people put into getting those thralls could’ve been thousands of hours. There are rare thralls that only come in purges, and others that aren’t in game anymore. That’s what people were upset about.

Exactly, no one can get that time back. We all lost it. But you can go out and re-farm the stuff you lost very quickly and easily as you just stated above. How do you not understand that that is impossible to do with these rare thralls? How do you not see the difference?
Personally, I lost nothing. I play every day. I just don’t get how some people can’t see the very obvious time investment that would be lost by some vs others.
This was my birthday weekend, I wasted Friday and Saturday trying to get the Purge only for the game to be rolled back. This was for the greater good and I’m not upset about it all. Sucks you wasted some time this weekend, so did a bunch of us!
Random person who bought their product. Yes. They actually must impress all of us to stay in business. It’s actually how this works.
So why rollback pvp servers if we are unaffected then?
Yeah, but then why exclude pvp out because we also had a role back.
Tell me one thrall you can no longer get in the game anymore, And I am not talking about the arena champion that no one was supposed to have anyways.
Trying to stay out of all of this, because I think the arguments are tired and over, but I wanna add that this is where you made your mistake.
I’ve been playing probably just as long as you, but I’ve learned any time there’s a mess up on a large scale, anything is possible. I stopped investing much time into the game until I got official word back about the Nemedian debacle. I did the same here. I never assume that something is off the table, especially rollbacks, because I’ve seen cases of individual servers getting them. If you knew full well that there was a problem, you need to adjust the way you look at it and assume Funcom can either do nothing, or screw us even worse. I choose the latter assumption. You knew about the problem, but made the assumption that nothing will be done. Never assume that.
Meanwhile, many of these other new people didn’t know what happened. They have the excuse of going in blind because they had no idea there was even a problem… a far better excuse than just assuming you’re safe from being collateral damage due to another issue you already knew about in the first place.
There’s really nothing else to say about this. You knew there was a yield sign there and you chose proceed without looking ahead. You can’t get mad for not using your better judgement.
Off the top of my head… any of the Nordheimer Chieftains. They were upgraded to non-thrallable bosses in the AoW update, yet were already extremely low spawn rates. In my year on my current server I’ve only gotten one.
There’s also every undead thrall and pet that were craftable with the witch doctor knowledge that they removed in AoS.
Plus any transferred thrall or pet from siptah prior to the closure of transfers.
And that’s not even counting every unique or topless crafter that was lost during the nemedian foundation bug.
Shall I go on?
Well you got me on the undead pets. The Chieftans had nothing that other thralls couldn’t accomplish if I am not mistaken. And topless crafters… Meh everyone has their fetish. I mean aside from needing to have 3 different Blacksmith’s 3 different armorers for the specializations, as far as I know the cooks are all the same minus the Lone fisherman who is not a rare spawn. Fighters are a dime a dozen and can easily be replaced. Sure I see your point on that, but it’s not something FUNCTIONAL that you can’t replace in the game. Nostalgic maybe but certainly not OMG I lost my super rare topless crafter now I can’t watch her boobs bouce as she hits an anvil all day. Kinks eh? to each their own.
Feel free to justify it all you want, but you only asked for thralls that can’t be acquired in game anymore. And as I recall, you said name just one. I named more than that. In fact, I didn’t even mention the Sid the Sloth inbred looking versions of the T4 combat thralls from year one… or the sepermeru Captain… though she may have been removed entirely since I haven’t even seen her in the admin panel that I’m aware of, nor have I seen anyone with her in their bases.
Some of us enjoy getting rare and unique thralls. I like thrall hunting myself. So yes, to each their own.
Theybremoved theblegacy thralls forna reason. The fact any one has them is an exploit.
Not really… if they didn’t kill them like the previous boss thralls that were able to be knocked out a long time ago, then no… it’s not an exploit. It’s only an exploit if the player did something against the intended game mechanics to acquire them.
That’s not entirely true, I forgot the thrall that it was but there was a time when people were able to tame a thrall, funcom made a script to kill all those thralls on login, and if you had some in chests you couldn’t even place them after that patch. But again they got a huge hassle from the player base and I guess decided not to do that again. I.E. people still being able to have the arena champion.
That’s what i mean… those were the Relic Hunter and volcano bosses. They die instantly when placed. I merely meant that any thrall that could be knocked out through normal means, and NOT by means of purposely exploiting the game to do what it wasn’t meant to do (i.e., Arena Champion) AND does not die upon placement is a legacy thrall and NOT an exploit. The Arena Champion is a bad example as it falls under exploits since she’s not acquired by normal means. If Funcom did not want you to have these legacy thralls knocked out by normal means and not force killed, then they would have done something about it. There is no violation or exploit at work.
Sorry if I missed some information in this flood of posts in different threads…
I am on 3052 and it seems so that a rollback has happen yesterday. But right after a server restart at 5 pm CET all thralls decayed again.
Was this the rollback and again an 1 day decay?
No thrall decay is 10 days on 3052 now.
Hmm ok are your thralls still alive? Mine are gone right after the server restart yesterday. My base had 200h left when I logged in few minutes ago
