i lost nothing and was not affected by this bug… (the thrall decay). but i can fully understand and relate about this issue.
i was about to quit (nomatter the fact it had not affected me personally) if a rollback was not taking place upon this matters. i voiced for most of my friends and all those that fought to get and maintain their beloved thralls and the time thy invested on them…
not all people in this forum fight for only themselves.
i did exactly the same with the Nemedian deletion!
its a team based game . if we do not care about our teammates , then we can also go single…
cause today it may be u, tomorrow it may be me… so i absolutely agree with @Barnes . some of us voice others as well… the fact that something has not affected us (yet) does not mean we cannot understand the situation others r in
If I had to hazard a guess, and this would be just pure speculation on my part, it’s because your thralls were near their decay date before the incident. So for example:
Your thrall was going to decay on Saturday evening, but because of the Friday misconfiguration they disappeared a day early. You discover this on Saturday when you log in, which normally would have reset their decay timer. Rollback occurs on Sunday, so you get all your thralls back in the same state they were Thursday night. However because of the rollback, as far as the server is concerned, you never logged in at all over the weekend.
In fact, technically speaking, nobody whatsoever logged in in the time between the misconfiguration and the next time they logged in AFTER the rollback. If as of Thursday evening, or whenever it was that the backup image was taken, your thrall was scheduled for deletion between then and your next post rollback login, then you missed the window to reset the clock. Even if you actually logged in many times before the rollback occurred.
But like I said, that’s just idle speculation on my part.
They did say they “logged in last week”. If that’s accurate, then they shouldn’t have lost anything.
However, if they weren’t literal, then it’s possible that the shortened decay got them. Any clan whose last login before Friday 9/1 was no later than Wednesday 8/24, will have lost their followers this Monday due to decay.
So since the rollback, I can’t continue with my single player game on Xbox. When I click on continue, it boots me back to my Xbox home page. If I try to start a new game, it asks me if I want to overwrite my saved game. So I know my previous game is still there. Is this happening to anyone else after rollback?
@Glurin if that was the case why was our base completely intact it should have decayed first. Not beating up on you at all some others lost thralls not to be replaced Personally I think it was a timing issue between patch and restart.
This roll back only is supposed to affect Official Exile server’s .however I will say I ran into what you are talking about on ps5 yesterday and today. Wonder if something bleed through to single offline game also tried co-op would not load @Anaheim83 . @Community any thoughts on this have read similar posts over the past few days
No thrall was returned to my clan.
4 years on the server and no thrall returned. My clan had over 80 thralls. Many with the best gear. Do you know how many hours it took us to achieve this? I need a solution. a few days with more experience is useless after years of playing.
How are we going to make up for all the lost time with a couple of days of bonus experience?
Still can’t play the game on Xbox. Same issue since Monday. When you go to continue a game, you get kicked back to Xbox home page. Any news on this issue? It appears I’m not the only one experiencing this, it also seems to be an issue on PS5…

not all who have thralls from years ago is inactive…u portrait the wrong picture. the fact that u may not see em online does not necessarry means they r inactive
obviously this double xp is not for the lvl 60’s , but those who lost progression towards leveling in their playtime and got affected by the rollback…
u should not assume all the measures taken r for the lvl 60 only…
How about 2X Thrall XP to counter all the progress lost on that? None of the measures benefitted level 60’s at all. 2X breaking thralls is useless on 15 minute thrall breaking.
Started playing this game when it first came out
It took me months to find named thralls for my two bases
Logged into te sever i was playing on and one of my thralls wasn’t with me
Looked around and realized all of my thralls were missing
There wasn’t a thing I could do. Maybe you can with the Funcom team we have now

most people overthink things. i am a lvl 60. unaffected. i have gathered over 20 thralls in two days. all named. just going through my ussual camps. have u even tried to play the game these days?
Even if u do not get a thrall , would that lessen ur playtime? the joy u had?
cause if in these two days that were rolled back , u lost ANY materials , u would be able to restore em really fast…
7 mins maybe nothing special comapred to 15 mins , but at least me , i do not play the game to get thralls . i just enjoy hunting EVERY single time i get out. i kill whatever not named… i have even stopped collecting the loot from the bodies.
go to sinners and camp for 2 days… and in between their spawns , do a casual ride at NA, Summoning and set city… do a circle EVERYDAY at least once… u will have more thralls than u need by the end.
all u need is some persistence…
i am happy to have this bonus. use it to stock rare things (this is what i do) . like gold , silver, rare fish (being caught in half the time is excellent to make oil… or have rare fish at ur disposal when u need em…
use this bonus for ur advantage…
the measures r beneficial ONLY if u collect the correct things…
what have u been collecting , and u did not liked the measures?
i personally even set a quest board. prizes given to the ones that r willing to harvest!!
