Vanir Cold Resistance

If the Conan Exiles wiki is to be believed, Vanir Fur and Vanir Settler armors give only 5 Cold Resistance. When equipped without any points in Survival, I get 3 heat resistance bars and 2 cold resistance bars. Indeed, wearing these and heading north I barely can make it into the snow without getting extremely cold. Now, I assume it’s intended that with basic armors you’re more or less unable to make it into the snowy regions (without building insulated, heated camps to leapfrog through) but what makes this quite odd is that these furry, northern armors are giving only equivalent cold protection to ‘standard’ light armor, and are actually just giving better heat resistance. It would seem reasonable, to me, to buff the Vanir armors so you end up with 2 heat resistance and 3 cold resistance instead.

That part of the wiki is probably outdated since the temperature changes. Now it can be improved by having a better tier armorer in the bench

Sure, a lot of the wiki is outdated, but I’m trying to mine some black ice right now and the vanir armor does in fact give more heat resistance than cold resistance, and doesn’t give more cold resistance than light armor or desert-themed armors.

Got to have the impervious to temperature attribute.

Vanir Settler Vest, ItemID 52976:

StatID 22 (float): +2
StatID 23 (float): +1
StatID 15 (integer): +1

Vanir Fur Harness, ItemID 52616:

StatID 22 (float): +2
StatID 23 (float): +1
StatID 15 (integer): +1

Vanir Heavy Pauldron, ItemID 52557:

StatID 22 (float): +1
StatID 23 (float): +2
StatID 15 (integer): +1

All taken from the ItemStatModificationTable from the devkit. So yes, the wiki is correct. Vanir Settler and Vanir Fur have the wrong values. Vanir Heavy has the correct values.

Thanks for getting into the weeds!

You can go there with every single armor and farm black ice. You just need to use more mechanics of the game. Warming up food and berry pulp are more than enough to take you there even naked. If you have the recipe of muled brew it’s the same and more.
YES I believe that vanir fur armors should give more cold resistance than heat , regardless the armorer you use, this is correct and something that devs must see. I won’t speak about wiki because all this job you see is made by players spending their free time (for free), fixing pages that really help us all. Feel free to go on discord of Conan exiles and let them know about your observation. We own them nothing more than gratitude.
