Is wall stacking an exploit or not? If it is, why is it still around after being a known technique for over a year?
This makes cave buildings way stronger than they should be. Other games with similar building systems have made several updates to prevent this from being possible.
I don’t think this is an exploit, and in fact, such a wall is not very effective. Just try to repair it after the raid. And avatars break through an unlimited number of walls.
I don’t see any problem with this. They are not as good at PVP as they seem. And if someone spam them, then with the same success they can spam any other building. If it seems to them that this is a very cool defense, they are just noob spammers, nothing more.
But you can use explosive arrows, and they act like foundations, meaningbif stacked vertically 50, all you need to do is destroy the bottom, and the column will crumble.
And also, if they removed thisbtechnique, people would just go 50 foundations thick. This actually shrinks the bases footprint alot.
50 fence foundations is roughlyb10 foundations wide, so it is 1/5th the size of whatvthey would do to create the same amount of HP protection. Hell, since Jhebal, if I remember, has wind attack that goes thru the walls and destroys internal things, fencing makes that easier…
No there is offline raiding. It is the most efficient way to raid because there is no defenders. Justifying it to make yourself feel better or like a big shot doesn’t make it not real. That is why official pvp is dead. Some people like to take a break and not work 2 jobs. Most meta Alphas will wait until the other clan burns out on logging in just to babysit base. I have basically took a sabitical because in the last dead server I was on, we challenged in game chat the Alpha and his allies (8-10 players) to come to our base 2 days in a row after they threatened us (3 players). They never showed. So we realized they were never gonna come, and all we were doing is wasting real life hours. We despawned our 4 weeks of loot from 6 Vaults, then waited 3 days to check. Sure enough they “raided” us when they realized we weren’t on. So yeah, offliners are toxic trash, and once dbd does get implemented, we will see those PVO (player vs offline) show their arses.
Truly, I look forward to the correct and full implementation of dynamic building damage.
I get where you’re coming from but I don’t think Selene is “that type of raider.” And sure you can farm a lot, but there is great satisfaction to be had by breaking into a base, where as you ride by on a daily basis it’s all Ding Ding Ding with the smiths… and stealing every sweet blue-icon crafter in the place.
It seems to me after playing two PC servers recently and a couple more combative PS4 servers, a lot of people are turtling, then logging off. Then after they get “offline raided” they take to Global to air their grievances. So I can see Selene’s point too.
If the idea behind this stacking is to make it harder to penetrate, I can see the value in this despite its seeming overkill. Presuming conventional weapons are used, we all try to reduce our structural dependencies by honeycombing. This is to give us the opportunity to respond in time and in kind to a bomb attack. You may want to perform a counter-attack on their property, so knowing you’ve got 20 minutes’ margin could be key.
On the other hand, if this is to make an “impenetrable” base so you can go off to the pub, no likie.
I like to raid, so … I raid. This is my character role. I just farm what i need for the first raid.
And the best is to cheese!
break a wall just before the end of raid time, enter the base after 23h00, you can take everything (exept locked chests), thralls do not attack.
wait a player leave his base (after raid time too because of the thralls), enter before the door close, again take everyhing you can, and escape with midnight potion. (you can hide in the base and loot+escape in the middle of the night).
If you find a yog or set T4 priest, farm 500 zeals and send it back, but in a god form
