War, Chapter 4, Week 1

@DeaconElie , I still can’t get more than one ambush per night. Last night, I went through one night without an attack at all.

The Hunt

Still grinding. It takes roughly 30 minutes on our server using various maps and running between fights to do a complete hunt, minus the fortress werewolf. That is if I do nothing else but the hunt. I rarely do nothing else. I am also leveling thralls, so, I do deviate to kill in rich XP grounds along the way. I have completed 7 hunts, and I have 470 fangs.

Look people, if you are going to have an event limited to three months that depends on a currency that can only be obtained through a specific set of circumstances, either increase the drop rate of said currency, or reduce the cost of the items said currency can procure. I want a particular item, and it costs a lot.

As a not plus, the bosses on the hunt provide no XP for thralls. yay.

Battle Pass

Not gonna lie, there are some cool things here (hello weapon rack), along with the usual drop on the ground trebuchet ammo, Tokens of Remembrance, and tapestries (Please stop with this. Can’t really see the picture anyway).

But, and however, There is no way to advance the challenges after completing them? Also, the passive counter just stops after you get a couple of items every day?

I like the fact that I don’t have to do the stupid gather 10 stones and then drop that on the ground for 30 points, but I should not be penalized because I happen to spend more time in the game on a daily basis. Keep tweaking.

Thrall Commands

Still like the new methods. I even have warmed to the shorter leash of stay here or whatever it is. I have noticed one peculiar thing. If I command a thrall to attack, she, and it’s almost always a she, will attack for a combo or two only. She will then just stand there for a moment. If I manipulate the battle to where she gets hit again, or if I hit RETURN, she will resume.

It’s as if she’s saying, “I attacked like you told me. Now what?”

The Purge

Still haven’t run one. Honestly, I don’t know why I would. I have more Anjas, Sonjas, and Lianeles than I need. Unless something else interesting such a new thrall or recipe pops up, I’m good.

Still available as a sword for hire in your purge.

The Tavern

The uptick in hiring frequency from only three is welcome. I counted nine at one point. Being able to hire more low end dancers and archers is great.

Is to feel the pain, the agony, the disaster.
Of course purges haven’t fixed yet, you can spend hours of fixing something to be perished and tell you…

Purge cannot find location to place camp

… When everything around is empty :confused:.

But anyway, like i said in previous posts, purges will be fixed “next year”, i don’t expect miracles. Sorcery until the chapter 3 was working flawless, yesterday i had to do the spell reveal corruption 4 times until it works. The spell didn’t work 3 times but i lost 3 pouch. No it’s not a loss, but it’s not correct either.
I wish the next year update will be the year of fixing all the mechanisms and items of the game.
Age of gods can wait for another year, we’ll still be here.

I have a purge base, and it has built a camp every single time I proclaim wealth.

EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Where is this magical building? In K7, the western ruined temple on the river next to the Eastern Barracks.

I built inside the temple. I have a chute on the elevated walkway. The camps build between the two ruins, and they run up the stairs, through the chutes. There are thralls I rescued from the camps manning cauldrons. I have replaced three so far. I have a pad built for me to stand on and shoot arrows, or the ballista, directly at the camp.

Plus, since the coffer and the base are inside the temple, meteors mean nothing to me.

How would it stand up to a God? I am curious.

Yep but I’m averaging about 68 fangs increase per run. So if you want the nice furry cloak, it’s going to be 15 runs or 7.5 hours of play. The others will be significantly cheaper and so I’ll spit ball and estimate about 25 hours of total play spent on the hunt to get all the recipes. That’s significant but not undoable. Naturally if you want to deck your base with werehyenas and such it will take more but those are 250 fangs so it would be about 2 hours worth of grinding the hunt. The real question is once you get all of the items purchased that you wanted, would you continue doing the hunt or would you just turn it off at that point? They have to balance immediate gratification with amount of content to develop with length of chapter so I understand why the rate is the way it is. Not going to turn down more fangs though so there is that.

There is a cap of 8k per day that they never bothered to tell us in the dev stream that you are running into.

I like it but at the same time, I can’t cheese it. As you have said leash is significantly shorter and therefore the stop while you take out the siege commander to completely level your thrall is no longer an option…and I hate grinding thrall levels with an utter passion. I feel like I’m in Unnamed city going…

There’s no benefit after, No XP for thralls, so I would stop actively doing it. I would help others do it though.

Yes, I saw that, but day one I got 10 levels, or 10000 points. Last night I got 2000.

While I like the city, it’s pretty spread out, and pretty busy. I would suggest the ice palace. If you run it, and the golem right out side, it’s right at 400K. The flameist camp across the way, plus the 4 mammoths, and 11 sabretooths on the upper plateau (Ymir statue to just west of the other Ymir) gives a total of 600K + in about 20 minutes. You can then repeat because they’ve respawned. Yes, I’ve levelled a lot of thralls.

I can name you at least 20 spots both in exile lands and Siptah that you’ll accept purge every single time. The problem is not the spots, it’s far from there. The problem is the complications you created on your build and instead of accepting a message,

Purge won’t reach this build because of the construction

You gain

Purges cannot find place for camp.

If i go now to the construction i was doing yesterday and make it simpler, purge will arrive. Just leave it open bottom to be easily get f…d and then purge find a way to come :confused:.
On exactly the same spot…
With exactly the same perimeter…

Problems of this purge were never just on spots, are many and they need fixing, especially now that the purge goes straight to the heart of your build.

I’ll send a video of the build. They rarely even get into the base.
