Well I guess that answers that question- World Bosses and Legendary Weapons

@Community you could have saved yourselves from some grief, and the Playerbase from some angst, if you had just stated this part when you made the comment that blocking World Bosses was no longer a violation of the Official Guidelines.

Not sure how to feel about that yet. I’ll have to jump into TestLive to see whether those chests still require keys from world bosses.

So its going to be like siptah then?

I have no experience with Siptah, so I cannot comment on that.

They still require the skeleton keys

So immediate gratification cannot be had after you take down a world boss. Interesting.

Next test starting now.

Just like they promised = loot got a significant upgrade for dungeons.

Now you will need to go into dungeons to get most legendaries with the key you get off the world bosses- well done.

Greetings Exiles,

We would have indeed. However, we can’t share many details of upcoming patches as development is not as linear as we would like it to be.

If anything, this is a learning experience for all of us. We would appreciate it if the player community took this experience into consideration the next time.

And we, support folks, will always try to share the most we can and bring y’all concerns to the team.

Have a great weekend everyone!

I understand that you folks, Support Staff, are kind of stuck in the middle, trying to keep the Playerbase satisfied, while obeying the directives of the Corporate overlords.

Your job is a challenging one.

I am not really sure what the takeaway for the Player Community is though.

Maybe what I just said is.

You cant get the keys for the dungeons if the world bosses are blocked! There’s already some aholes blocking most world bosses on my server but its ok now even if it blocks people from getting keys ?

an no build radius around boss spawns is necessary, or better, bosses can spawn inside the base and can damage structures. Personoally i would add a bite of cruelty, putting in a delay of some days to let the folks build a lot on the boss area and then he spawns and smashs everything, and i should not aware the comunitty about it.

Yep. According to Funcom’s official server TOS, as long as it’s not a unique or high-value in-game content, you can block it. And according to Funcom, world bosses are neither unique nor high-value. :man_shrugging:

However, the players who are blocking those bosses might be breaking a different rule. For example, if you can show that their builds are “abuse of the claim system where blocks are placed for no other purpose than to prevent other players’ access to resources and building spots”, then they’re breaking the rules.

building a transp stone is enough to escape the claim abuse rule

Yeah, I know. It sucks. I wish they would reconsider the policy, but I don’t think they will. They seem to be trying to cut their costs as much as possible.

Personally, I think it would be ideal if they did the following two things:

  1. Make boss-blocking against the rules.
  2. Add a small no-build zone at each boss spawn.

The rule change would ensure that we can get Funcom to punish griefers who block bosses on purpose, and the no-build zone would serve to warn those who truly don’t know better and aren’t griefing on purpose.
