Love it. Cold is far too easy.
They could even implement it that the sandstorm evolved and takes another form in the cold as it is a “living” entity!
I don’t know if they need to add any story behind a blizzard. It’s cold, and there are mountains. I think the sandstorm is something created based on the lore, but a blizzard could just come by as a natural effect.

I would love to see Blizzards! And if people die from them, they leave behind a frozen statue of their body behind which is shattered if kicked or hit.
