I have only just noticed that there are several new Manifestation of Zeal options in my T3 shrines; ‘Offerings’. There seems to be one for each god (except Crom of course ). So what do these actually do, and how do we obtain them?
I’ve been wondering that, myself. If they aren’t something related to Siptah, I figured it was perhaps some kind of rare drop from hostile priests or NPCs related to some religion and that, if burned, these offerings would provide a substantial amount of whatever “fuel” your particular religion desires (the soul leftovers for Mitra, the slivers of the unfulfilled for Derketo, and so on).
I can’t say for absolute certain though because, like you, I’ve never actually seen any of these special trophies/offerings.
They drop off siptah human mobs. Consuming them enables the player to learn the religion its linked to. Siptah doesn’t have religion trainers like Exiled Lands…one ends up collecting quite a few while kill farming…
As noted, consuming them teaches the religion.
The additional notations in the alter are, if you place one of those items on a different alter, you will have the Burn Offering choice which will generate 20 manifestations from it.
Take the drop that teaches Set, put it in a Mitra alter, initiate the process, get 20 manifestations.
Imagine burning holy books of one religion in the temple of another in real life. An activity reserved for people who can run really, really fast.
How lovely. Iconoclasm was one of the guilty pleasures we didn’t have in the game yet. And new sources for manifestations are welcome, too.
Sadly you can’t place the Yog skull
I had managed to get out of Jhebbel World with a load of the steaks that you eat to learn that religion. I’ve had them in a refrigerator (I know that’s not it’s name. Keep your letters) for almost a year, adding to it when I could. I was surprised this past weekend to see the timer had been extended from 2 minutes to and hour I believe.
20 Zeal, or whatever it’s called now, works for me. I had been giving them to friends who wanted to learn the religion, but not run the dungeon.
