What was a Promising Thrall, turned to crap thanks to the perks

So are you going to give him a good bow and accuracy enhanced armor?

He’s a fighter. Not an Archer Says so even in his role type

Accuracy is by far his best stat though. If it were me, I’d equip him with a good bow as his only weapon and ignore what type he is “supposed” to be.

If you read the 16.06.2020 update, you will notice that they removed weapon penalties

· Removed the penalties for thralls who use attacks outside of their specialization

So don’t worry, it will still work fine, but if by crap you mean anything that you can’t control, then yes, it is absolute crap.

I understand some people get mad because of the negative perks, but i actually like them to be like this, maybe they could have done a better job, but somehow this system makes every thrall to be different of each other, and that’s fine for me, they have their stranghts and weakness, some more than others, i have no complains about this system but if it gets to be improved i would add encumbrance and grit to thralls. and they would cap their stats at 60 max

Don’t you see why this is soo messed up though? A Fighter getting Archery Line Stats?

Like I said earlier, my fighter and archer thralls whose stats are opposite of their designation, I repurposed.

Even with a penalty (removed as @Cyryus points out), an accuracy stat as high as your leveled fighter has, would make for an awesome archer to combat purges. There is a set of normal armor that gives a +5 to accuracy, the lvl 60 armor should be even higher. Put him on a wall with a legendary bow, he should shred enemies.

Yeah I can see where the frustration comes from. I guess we just have a different outlook. I see it as a really good archer, where you see it as a poor fighter.

Yep. Good ol’ Captain Ioshuwa even has basically the same damage multiplier for ACC as he does for STR.

Black Hand have a lot more named fighters than they have (non-Purge) archers, so my plan was always to repurpose the fighters as base defense archers anyway. For front-line duties, something a bit hardier than a Black Hand fighter may be better.

I have seen that a lot in thralls I have leveled, I just move on to the next thrall.

Well FunCom just removed the penalties, so a fighter thrall no longer had a archery penalty and vise versa. I kinda like the way it is now, a fighter can now actually be a decent archer and an archer can be a decent fighter.

I like randomness in my games. Its why I play Blood Bowl. One bad roll and a character you’ve had for years can just suddenly die or become seriously gimped. RNG is not a new concept at all; boardgames live off of it. If I want pure cerebral determinism, I play chess.
