When we will have refunded the items which we lost due to the last patch?!

this is not my first game that this has happened IT IS WHAT IT IS

No, no it is not. It was the price they most likely calculated as their break even or better off a lot of criteria.

No, it is your fundamental complete lack of understanding economics as it relates to product and service pricing.

…And these are valid comparisons how?

Unfortunately, just as griefers can grief in whatever way they want to, there wont be any moderation for whatever is getting lost due to bugs. At least I cannot imagine Funcom going that way that suddenly.

We lost a tiny few - we kept our thralls (though under watersurface) because of where we built, so our losses werent as hard as the losses of others.

That is one legit point speaking in favor of private server - if hosting or having been granted admin rights.

Everyone has his reasons to pick the server he picks.
I get how frustrating that must have been - and as I am a plain normal player myself, I cannot help you.
And I highly doubt that funcom will do anything which goes even the slightest bit towards server moderation.

I would agree that moderation would be awesome. But very unlikely to ever happen as well…

Because of people like you they are doing such a lousy work on their servers. Because there are people that are ok no matter what… they delete something, it’s ok… they will delete whole your base tomorrow and will be ok as well… No problem guys we can farm again over and over, not like you play to see some progress I love pain… maybe delete the whole server next patch who cares I will create another!!! They will always work poorly and test patches directly on live servers, why they need to bother to do different if people will accept it and pay more for the further dlcs.

They are very valid as it’s reflecting exactly what you were stating upper. I see tho you lack the possibilities of understanding even the most basic notions therefore I will stop wasting my time explaining to you and making you to see the big picture, obviously it’s way too complicated for the simple minds… I cannot blame you tho, at the end of the day not all people need to be the same… world would be a really strange place to live if so. Try to contemplate more at the concept and to become more educated. If you try harder maybe one day you will get the point!

No they are not.

Are you done? Or do you want to try and make a point that is other than you believe what you spent on the game entitles you to have all your time spent playing it covered against loss by Funcom taking on the expenses of a customer service team to do this?

You did this to you. Sorry you are so emotionally invested that having to start over, in a video game, drives you to insult total strangers online trying to point out how irrational your points on this have gotten.

I am not insulting you, you did this to yourself by stating things which have no logic just to have a contradictory conversation with a total stranger on the internet. I am just underlining what I see and I agree that this chit chat is a bit irrational covered all over by your false affirmations! All what you said is to repeat that ā€œI did this to myselfā€ which has no logic but more than this all what you said is not having any sort of argument to back it out. No solid idea behind, most likely you just like to lose time typing with strangers on internet… thing which results the lack of people listening to you irl. Pretty sad but I guess but true… since what I was posting wasn’t towards you by all means and since you are not administration yet cannot see another reason why you would you reply all this nonsense under this post!

Really…

Sure, that wasn’t supposed to be an insult…

…and that is not an insult either…

I get it, the forty dollars, and time you put in, means that much to you. To such a degree, that you’ll even deny objective reality on how you are communicating.

I am sorry that it is that emotionally devastating to you to have spent forty dollars, on a not perfect video game, and lost a few hours collecting non existent items to make places that do not exist. I am sorry that your attachment to these non existent possessions is so strong that it makes you have behavior like such expressing your emotional turmoil and frustration over your non existent things not being ā€˜returned’ to you.

Your doing this to yourself friend.

Banana, Did your stuff disappear, and was your base a water base or a partial water base?

Pretty simple I think…
You paid 40 bucks to play a game.
Did you play the game? Yes.
Did you have fun playing the game? Yes.
Are you still able to play the game? Yes.
End of discussion.
Any other game, like Doom for instance, you play the game till the end and get a screen full of credits and some achievements for your invested time. That’s it.
I’m sorry to say that this isn’t an instance of people being of small intelligence and not seeing the bigger picture. This is an instance of you making a mole hill into a mountain. I for one have anticipated this kind of problem occurring since I have played since the beginning of early access. I have decided to rent my own server and anytime I update it, I make a local copy of the save folder so I can do my own rollback if need be.

@TheElephantTowerMan all I’m saying is you can waste time ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  and moaning on here or get back to having fun gaming.Either in conan or another game. Cause Funcom isn’t giving you or anybody anything back. Most they will do is give a few days of double xp/gathering.Not being a dick, just being truthful…but hey I could be wrong…:stuck_out_tongue:

What kind of fun you can have in game, knowing that your progress will be lost randomly, nobody from my friends playing this game since patch cus its frustrating and disappointing to play without results.

Do I still wanna play the game after disappointment I got? Not really.
Do I still have fun playing when I know that all I do can disappear in tomorrow or in the next hour? Nope.
End of discussion.
Why to play a game in which I cannot get any progress or have fun since anyway all I do can be lost but not naturally? I don’t wanna host my server I wanna play on official servers of game and enjoy the game. Apparently too much for the devs to be able to offer. So why did I paid 40 bucks? To play 2 months and flee away in disappointment?! Interesting side of view!

I can’t figure out what you expect them to do…

  • If you think they’ll give people real life money for virtual items collected in a game, LOL
  • If you think they’re going to roll back all the official servers more than a couple hours, let alone 4 days, LOL
  • If you think they’re going to make some magic script that will compare storage container contents from before and after the patch and ā€œregenerateā€ what is missing, somehow discerning between what disappeared and what was used up by normal means, LOL
  • And last but not least, if you expect them to do any of these things when only some players even lost items to begin with, LMAO

If you think that somebody will play a game which is having this kind of problems each patch, LOL
If you think that servers won’t be empty more and more after each patch like this, LOL
If you think that any person which has a bit of brain will buy any other game or dlc from them, LOL
And if you think they deserve to get salary to begin with for this kind of lousy work and this game will not forcefully be closed as project in the next half of year, LMAO

I just want to play a quality game for the money I’ve paid, I don’t understand why so many cry babies are believing that they need to dumpster their illogical posts in here when all I request only is the reply of devs!

Yes, you bought a game and expect it to work flawlessly. But…Games these days are very complex and bugs and exploits are expected a long time after launch. People should either choose to understand and accept it or wait a long time, say 1 year, before buying the game.
My point being: It’s unfair throwing crap on the faces of people who have worked hard to deliver such a magnificent game. Sure, the game has its issues but given time I am sure they will be addressed.

First world problems eh ??

Lotta worse things could happen, so suck it up and keep playing or move on.

It’s a friggin game, not life or death.

A small but growing company has put out and awesome game, and yeah, like most new games, especially online ones, there’s gonna be problems. They’re doing their best to keep things running, fix and resolve the complex myriad of issues that plague games and gamers…
AND…
because they are real people, they’d also like to go home at the end of each day and live their lives outside the fantasy realm of Conan, that a lot of self entitled people on this forum seem to think is more important. Give em a break, there’s more issues than staff so show a bit of understanding and patience.

This is business, mate. Not some friendly tea party when everyone knows each other and can forgive mistakes based on the relationship alone.
They took my money and gave me stress and frustration for that money in return. That was not the deal i’ve been advdertised. I was promised a polished game, with several key features. Those several features ended up either missing (Derketo religion) or not working as advertised or not working at all. This is plain and simple scam. In any other industry you would’ve start a lawsuit case in a blink of an eye.

LOL - tell us more about crybabies with ā€œillogicalā€ posts… maybe you forgot what you titled this thread. Still waiting for you to tell us all what exactly you expect them to do. You can complain for days and days but you haven’t even stated what you want. Unless, of course, you literally think they can refund everyone’s lost items; if that’s the case you may want to look up the definition of illogical.

This is not a bad idea, and would be pretty easy to implement in the future. Checksum the world before and after a patch, checksums don’t match rollback the update… Scripts are not magic. @Tascha
