Also it is really hard to find t4 thrall you need to craft special armors set.
It would be nice if we could apply characteristics via modifications
Adding modifiers for temperature and skill bumps would not be as easy as thought. The current system appears to only allow one modifier at a time. The system would need to be changed.
This could very well be as easy as flipping a switch, however could be a major undertaking as well.
Not that hard if you are persistent, but I agree we could at least change the temperature by modifications.
As alternativ - instead of adding modification - there could be additional items to wear(rings? artefacts? etc)
Put stats on jewelery and warpaint.
Leave mobility and armor grade on armor.
Combine cold and heat resist into 1 stat: temperature resistance
Actually it would be not very nice… this makes game more interesting
I have to agree with @Caco and @Halcyon: combine the heat and cold resistance to one stat: temperature resistance (through modifications - one level of resistance, two levels of resistance, etc.).
This is what Kambujan should be given it’s location in the world of R. E. Howard.
My problem is that there is no heavy armor with strength bonus and cold resistance.
The Hyperborean used to be which fit it’s location in the lore.
But it was changed for… Reasons???
I think the devs don’t want agile strength users in the volcano and strong tanks in the snow.
Also, if these armors were reversed to lore friendly temp resistances, there would be cries of ptw from non dlc purchasing pvper’s.
The Slaver armor looks overwhelmingly heat resistant, but more improtantly, normal slaver armor was heat resistant and epic slaver was cold resistant. They changed the epic armor just to keep it consistent.
I believe Pict Heavy is heat resistant STR ?
I agree that it certainly looks like it would keep you cool. Though it is fur lined, not much, but it’s there.
The Hyperboreans would wear this armor on their raids to strike fear into those they would enslave and it gave them a resiliance against the cold.
The Pict is heat strength heavy.
Those that didn’t buy the frontier dlc might say that they were at a disadvantage in the warmer climates as until the change, there wasn’t a comparable armor in the base game.
I still don’t like the change.
The Slaver armor = The Pict armor
T3 and up for the armors. You don’t need a t4 for something like Zamo dancers.
Armors over all could use some changes, or mid tier for lv30.I tend wear Aqu- Scout till 60… Khitan light for snow, Cause I don’t care for alot of the designs. Which I had more lv30-40 sets myself.
When a problem is so blatantly obvious, that it’s obvious something is getting in the way of the solution, I would really like to know what that block is.
There is a far deeper problem at play here.
This is a company that practically turned the whole game upside down 6 months before launch and saved it… It’s not that they can’t change something… It’s that they can’t re-write the entire game to facilitate half of what we want while being entertaining, on top of that have PvP in complete shambles.
I feel sorry for Funcom.
