Will Funcom ever expand Exiled Lands map?

I’ve been playing Conan since 4 years ago, coming from World of Warcraft, and I was immediately captured by it’s incredible game mechanics (and adult themes). I’ve even got a graduate diploma in 3d arts for games as environment artist because I was fascinated by this game’s building and environments… But something always bugged my mind… why didn’t funcom ever thought of expanding the exiled lands? That white top right corner on the map always seemed so alluring to me… I can understand making a whole new map like Siptah to generate some new income and gather new players into the game, but why don’t you expand exiled lands, or change them with some apocalyptic event like in WOW (they changed the main map to follow the storyline)?

Dungeons are hidden in those lands, that’s why we will never get the whole map. But still, I hope too that sometimes they add one square here and there when it’s possible and make sens.

But I know it’ll never happen. They already broke the game for days/weeks when adding small things so imagine if they start to add map parts. If this happen and destroy bases, or other issues like that, they will alienate the community even more

Highly doubt it, they say they can’t

They prefer “rebalance” and nerfing old content.
Call it a update like its the next new thing.

My understanding is the game has pretty well hit it’s limit. That is why we couldn’t have the caravans and the Stygian keep. So at this point everything new is replacing something old.

They will not, they speak about it multiple times.

The top-right corner is used to hold dungeons and other “out of map” locations, so you cannot just add a new land there. You would need to move the dungeons somewhere else, what mean - made the map bigger.

And they cannot made the map bigger (either to move the dungeons somewhere else or to add new lands somewhere else, f.ex. north of vulcano) due to the limitations of game engine. I mean, in theory they can, but it would generate huge amount of problems around optimisation and such. Problems that are unsolvable without changing the engine.

But the fact is that if you’ve been playing Conan since the beginning, you know these maps by heart and get bored.

I think most players, instead of updates and new challenges, would rather buy a new map.

They made a new map with Siptah.
It had issues, not the least being that it seemed to be designed specifically for people who were less inclined to purchase it and many many things were obnoxiously RNG gated.
Regardless.
From what has been noted, Siptah sorta flopped.
And with it any hope that any further maps would be created/developed.

Further, with their current Age and Chapter system, they have had trouble supporting to two maps they already have.

While this one personally would love to see Savage Wilds ,for example, imported ( there are other excellent mod maps for PC), this one equally doubts it is going to ever happen.

Some modders have added some new areas to the exiled lands map -Check modder named Snowhunter

Savage Wilds Map is pretty stable.

I heard they can’t because the “empty spaces” are actually used for the dungeons. There might be a tiny bit of space in the corners or something but that would be used for future dungeons I guess. But the opportunity to add more land or biomes to the EL map is not an option.

From what I’ve heard.
