If you’ve changed your single-player server settings it may be affecting the spawn rate of the Halloween meteors and changing this back to the default, then logging out and back in again, has been reported to change the meteor spawn rate back to normal and cutting down on lag.
However, if you’re already using the default settings this might not work. We’re working on a hotfix now that will cut out insta-respawning meteors in order to take care of the issue.
Okay, pressing the INSERT key gave me a large console window (once it was already open).
The command GetServerSetting HalloweenMeteorSpawnTimer gave me no response, as if there is no value here or the setting does not exist. I even entered a value as in: SetServerSetting HalloweenMeteorSpawnTimer=900 but still am not getting any value in response when I run the GetServerSetting.
do we have any idea how much long the slow not being able to play is going to last as been trying to play on and off all day. tried resetting to default. just want to farm the meteor had no issues yesterday with it today no such luck.
Yeah I changed my gather rate to two and I turned the purge off… thats it… but before I reset them i turned my normal respawn and despawn rate to nine to see if that would help but it didn’t so I resorted my settings to default.
the console command didnt work and i notice that when i go to admin panel freeze sky is always on even when i uncheck the box leave admin and go back its chwcked again…please help stop meteors from consantly falling
Hi, maybe I missed this in the general discussion, but… I chased meteors for about an hour an a half last night. Everytime I heard the boom, saw the streaming lights, etc… but never did I find a meteor on the ground. Is this the same issue as the PC version was having? And if so, is the patch rolling out to the xbox? I’m sorry to hear I lost out on skeleton keys, star metal tools, etc last night.
Tascha, doing the admin command you suggested did not change anything. I am still not getting any response to the console commands. There is no acknowledgement except when trying a different command just for testing, it gave me an ‘invalid command’ sort of response.
In case it matters, I am accessing the console from the initial game screen where you choose online/single player/etc. The screen with setting that you get to from in-game will not give me a console screen.
Same problem as many others on here. Game is unplayable due to meteor shower that will not stop. Tried your fix with the keyboard and it did not work. I press insert until something comes up, and it shows some other message related to building decay but absolutely nothing about meteors or setting delay time for special event. Tried the in-game tools in settings for adjusting server settings. Also nothing and no help. I’m guessing I won’t be able to continue my single-player campaign for a week…at least.
