Yamatai set will not be fixed....From Patch Notes

We actually are going to fix the pillows to make them effectively chairs you can sit in, but it wouldn’t have made it into the hotfix - it will most likely be included in Chapter 4, as long as nothing blocks us from shipping that update. It still needs to be tested of course.

Edit: Before anyone asks, yes they should work with the Tavern system as well.

thank you!

finally !!!

Great news, thanks for sharing!

Thank you for putting out that fire.

This is great news, thank you!
Please, would you, or someone appropriate be able to add this to the patch notes. Maybe something simple like:

Yamatai Floor Pillow is now located in the “Decorative” category in the construction hammer menu to avoid confusion about functionality. They will be fixed in future (i.e. useable as seats)

It will help lessen confusion going forward I think.

It was shown as a bunch of the pieces put together like a diorama, rather than separately. We didn’t actually realize every piece was the size of a single foundation, effectively making them useless for most builds. It made a nice flooring set though. :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

What a positive outlook for the future of Conan Exiles. Looking forward to Chapter 4!

That makes sense. It actually did not occur to me that people wanted to sit on them.

Due to the official statement…
I’ve removed my comment.
If the pillows get fixed (as long it gets fixed, I don’t mind waiting), the Yamatai Set is great in many ways.

Nevertheless, it makes me somehow feel sad :disappointed_relieved:
Seriously, why does it always take a wave of anger for an OFFICIAL
ANNOUNCEMENT/STATEMENT to be made?

I don’t see a wave of anger, personally, but I shield myself from Social Media these days, Discord too. It looks like what you’d expect on any consumer complaint kinda thread.

Why doesn’t Dennis arrive unless it’s to clarify something that could be critical to the game, and its customers? Quoting Lt Jim Gordon, to his detective: “hopefully, because he’s busy.” :bat:

Ever heard about Context and Context-Sensitivity?
I guess not as you do what practically ANYONE in the internet is doing – distorting a statement by:

taking a paragraph
sentences
phrase
or words

out of it…
Good job –brain-dead Zombie :fu:

Hey I’m a lot of things, but a Zombie isn’t one of them!

Then please, please show me proof of the “wave of anger.” And don’t say I distorted your statement, I quoted it directly, omitting two unnecessary words. :person_shrugging:t4:

Ok! Since i know you’ll do it this way, now nothing stops me from buying it! Thanks Dennis and happy new year too m8 :metal:

This one likewise laments the lack of communication and community engagement.

At this interval, the situation has been left to fester long enough that the environment has become septic. This specific instance is one thing, but it is far from unique. The forums are toxic, yes yes yes… no one should have to deal with them and their neglect has let that infection grow.

At some point we accept that a fire fighter may get burned. A veterinarian may be bitten. A community manager may encounter internet toxicity. That is a hazard of the job.
In the non emergency cases, the more perilous the duty, the greater the expected compensation should be.

That Den himself was the one who had to post is…
Concerning?
Didn’t they have nice staff whose job was to be the public face? Not to, how do the kids say it now, throw shade at anyone, but Den has lots of work to do on the game itself, he shouldn’t have to relay news to the forums. Regardless of how much this one may snarl and growl, things don’t get better when the person doing repairs is interrupted. Hence the employment of a sacrificial goa-, er, community engagement specialist, public relations officer, ect…

To clarify, this one does greatly appreciated that Den did step in to give an authoritative word on the matter.
But this one would rather that he didn’t have to.

At the risk of ranging off topic, does anyone have a constructive, bilateral solution for detoxing the forums and improving communication?
Or is this one jousting at a windmill, as usual?

I don’t ever feed any :troll:
Before you, waste your time, just take it for granted I already know how to ignore whomever forever :fu:

Ahh yeah I was surprised by that when I saw YouTube video of someone showing it off

Thanks @jmk1999

Fully agreed about forums status. For now I can only suggest better communication with players. The most important to answer to simple posts more often.

About that one, there was great amount of nice ideas, volunteers who tried to gather and sort feedback from ordinary players to devs, different suggestions, but usually replies can be seen on bug reports, mostly connected with bazaar. And that is sad. It feels like no one cares - simple answer from dev/moderator/community manager will warm simple players hearts. Because someone noticed their efforts.
Like:
“Hmm, sounds like good/interesting idea. We will try to discuss it with our team later. Or implement it in future Ages”

or

“Sounds good, but we won’t be able to do that because of engine or it confront our vision of Conan universe”

  1. Explanation about future development.
Like “guys we wanna build it such way, so we do this and that to implement that”. I still dont understand for what reason “wasd attack direction” was made. I’m not against it but I just don’t understand. Why was that info hidden?

Why do you keep writing “Funkhram” on all of your posts? Do you not know how to spell Funcom, or is this some kind of joke that only you get?

Poor performance on PS5 is stopping me from buying ANYTHING. I don’t even install the game, because I know the moment I do, I’ll go straight to the bazaar. The only way to avoid it is by not playing at all. What’s the point of buying nice stuff if textures go crazy the moment we build a little? It’s so immersion breaking that I prefer not playing. This is what bothers me seriously, the texture rendering delay, textures going in and out cyclically and invisible stuff. I could even tolerate building a purge friendly base, but not texture rendering delay, because that’s preposterous in 2024 on PS5. It really irks me. I’m losing a shitload of stuff I would have bought because of graphics performance.

I see you, Don Quixote.

I believe Den has said before that he reads all the goose hissing and harpy shrieking. Maybe it’s for motivation? I do not know.
