I play regularly on Gaming Laptop PC on a rented 3rd part server and don’t experience these crashes people are always crying about. I sometimes wonder if it is a RAM issue for people. The game is huge. I run 50+ mods…all the best clothing, building, Exiled Lands addon dungeons, and some other tw…

[image] DeaconElie: over use or animated ornamentation and pointed out it was probable my potatoe. not probably…definitely. But also, you are right: No excuse for Funcom and their lack of optimisation. But I distinctly remember your suggestions for server optimisation in order of effectiven…

Just out of morbid curiosity: are you guys really going to start an endless discussion about whether someone should drop hundreds, if not thousands of dollars on new hardware so they can play a 7-year old game and still experience a ton of bugs? I mean, good for @XEnigmaX , I’m glad that their setup…

Well if you want this to be a conversation I have, on a few occasions said I was looking forward to getting a RTX 3060 12gig because of the huge price drop. Still will be summer. But that wont fix the bugs in the game now will it? All it will do is make the game run smoother on my PC. But I will po…

GPU won’t fix issues of loading assets either… It will give you better resolution with higher framerate…but it wouldn’t fix issues connected to loading bases and their assets. Faster RAM and CPU would do that. Just be sure that next time you explain to people what needs to be done to increase game…

I made that exact argument in one of the discussions about reporting people due to lag. I made mention that its not right if someone with a potatoe PC walks by a base and it lags them out, while the owner of the base might have a top of the line PC and see no issues in the game. Its happened, and …

Youre not wrong. Some people will purposely over do builds solely to lag people out. That also means that people with low quality builds report bases that are fine for others. I did a test, I asked I cant remember who, for a couple servers that had these massive builds. I logged in (I want to sa…

I’ve never read a post on here about someone getting banned for causing lag. And by this time I think it has been very well established big builds of them selves do not cause server lag. A higher end PC will be effected by server lag the same way a low end one would. I’d argue with you about the …

I mean server lag and drop in framerates are really two seperate things… A lagging server might manifest in input delays, rubberbanding, … Nothing better hardware can solve. Going near huge buildings and experiencing a stutter when you look a certain direction is a hardware and optimisation issue

[image] DeaconElie: I’ve never read a post on here about someone getting banned for causing lag. Thats unprovable because Funcom never tells people why exactly they were banned. All Im saying is: [image] Nemisis: That also means that people with low quality builds report bases that are …

Client is me. If my PC meets the new games specs there is no reason your build should lag me unless it is done intentionally.
And yes there are people that will.
