All skills reset by a "hacker"

All my skills points were spent when I logged in, but nothing was unlocked. Could not even craft a potion to fix it because I didn’t have alchemy unlocked.
I went and got a fragment of power, learned alchemy and reset my knowledge points but all my journey unlocks, fragment turn in unlocks, bazaar unlocks, and sorcery are missing still. I can see all of the knowledge in the search bar but its yellowed out like I haven’t learned it.
Sorcery is completly gone, and a new book didn’t re unlock it.

What’s the solution here other than installing this hacker infested nightmare of a game?

You are open to that as long as you play on any official server. Funcom is not stopping it. The “hackers” are not doing what happened to you on a private servers because they have admin access (direct) to the official servers. Anybody that plays on any official server could be a target. Private server = not being open to the “hackers”.

This isn’t true.

Open privates potentially deal with hackers. Open popular PVP ones daily. It’s a constant battle of banning them, rolling back and compensating.

Private servers that have passwords and capable/respoinsible admins are not subject to the “hacking”. Having a private server with no password is the same condition as a public/official server and thus, open to the “hacking”. The hackers don’t have unstoppable super hacking powers.

I didn’t suggest they had super powers. I was clarifying this:

Regardless, they can still guess weak passwords or even mole into password protected which means they are subject to it. Privates do a much better job of shielding and ejecting for sure but they are not immune.

Which means that all of us should have a vested interest in driving out hackers.

Driving out hackers??? Nah. Just the “cheaters” should go.

Where to in the interim? Maintenance mode? For CE? :innocent:

I really think this hack is the reason they pulled the plug on new content to focus on fixes. This one is really bad, worst I have seen as far as hacks go, if they don’t fix it, the game is dead.

Even in private servers that are password protected, you just need to fool the admin and create the havoc. It only takes a few hours to destroy a server with how open it program is now.

Twice recently I’ve popcorned and BV’d so I’ve narrowly missed being caught in those crosshairs. I get even a whiff of something being off and impose a short period to deal.

It tells me either range is a boon or they take their time. Not sure yet.

While it’s alarming and I hope also that you might be right I think that the Microsoft certification problem could be an indicator.

I am afraid you are mistaken.

Perhaps this is not your area of expertise and that’s okay.

Hackers do not avoid password protected things, they use their skills and tools to break into them.

Wouldn’t be surprised if they have been able to code something into their clients.

Worth having a look at some of the services they use and view the patch notes, or even funcom could just fix the issue and stop stalling.

Just a thought. :joy:

Some code fixes and others code traps. I read the Black Keep was filled with traps by the devs. They took it away, some say. You can still see where traps were placed.

Maze bases have evolved since AoH. They haven’t taken that away.

That still leaves an unsecure data channel. Or, this just hints at a solution, like WebRTC. If that becomes consistent with current trends, then I’m open to review some negotiations, like x509 capabilities (and other terms).

Simply, “WebRTC+” hints at streaming rather then rendering. I digress, but I got to play with models with Collada. Yeah, there is something hacker-proof hinted here. Credentials are more static…

Greetings Exiles,

Please follow the stated in the Official servers guidelines to submit a ticket so our team can gather as much information as possible:

You can read the full version of the Guidelines here:

You’re halfway through it. Maybe 10-16 of those will fill up the request folder faster.

I think that information is essential to know. I did try to track down the work requests. New smells…

Has anybody reported that the password for their private server was hacked by the hackers? I have 2 private servers with G-Portal (PlayStation) and nobody is guessing, cracking, or hacking the password… EVER.

I didn’t say they were doing that.

Also, you’re on console.

The hackers are on PC.

Actually, managing servers is part of my expertise. Who here has reported that the password for their private server was cracked or hacked? If that were to happen, that would actually be G-Portal that is getting hacked and G-Portal has not reported any password cracking for private servers with this game. In other words, every server is not open to the current “hacking” that is going on. The official servers are being directly accessed without cracking the password. It’s happening on official servers and the “hacks” require admin controls. This is being done by someone that has direct access to the G-Portal servers operated by Funcom. Show me one complaint here about a password protected private server from G-Portal that is experiencing the admin level “hacks”.

Ok. Is it possible to access specific player data or files via the G-Portal dashboard, Nitro dashboard, or the in-game admin screen? If not, then that is not what they are using to perform the “hacks”. That leaves only direct server admin level access.

It’s an injection program like all CE hacks.

Is the injection possible via the G-Portal dashboard, Nitro dashboard, or anything that is in-game?
