Balancing and PVP changes coming with the release of The Isle of Siptah - Feedback thread

I’ve seen the changes, and Raid Time 24h on Saturday seems a madness, many will say that this way they make the most of their time on the weekend, but let’s be honest: many bases will be raided at 5 or 6 AM, when most people sleeps and the game will become a “let’s see who waits longer for the other to disconnect”. We can make all the excuses in the world, but many people raids offline just because they cant do it with the defenders online.

Most of the people have things to do, they spend time in the game but they have to work or they just want to go out to the cinema on the weekend, they cannot be slaves of the game to not lose months of farming.

Maybe the dynamic raid would be a good idea on Saturdays: you can raid someone at 5 AM but just if they are connected.

I also don’t like the healing system. Before, if you were attacked and you took a hit, you could avoid the next one, heal and counterattack, now you no longer have the possibility of fighting, also we add the nerf to the roll that was done a long time ago. I imagine it has been made by numerous complaints from people who do not like pvp, but it is something that affects everyone, so in the reign of the blind the one-eyed will be the king. True PVPers will adapt, find the mechanics / build to keep killing and people who don’t like PVP will cry again (I don’t understand why they play on PVP servers if they don’t like fighting).

Are you running a dedicated server or are you using gportal?

Host Havoc. I’ve even gone to them about the issue, and they told me it’s on funcom to fix.

Hello!
i have just been inside Klaels Stronghold and fighting Arena Champion are a nightmare now, you cant heal your self and you cant heal your thrall, because you have totally screwed up the healing system in this patch.
Why must you allways make changes after pvp community, in pve we want to kill our stuff and get the things we want. Since you cant be in a group so you can heal eachother you MUST change so healing your thrall anyway go back to what it was before this expansion.
Try to see longer then what your vision are.

Regards
Benny/Desdemonica

The thing is, the PvP community didn’t ask for this either. At least the hardcore PvP community.

Best I can tell , bud, the PvP community isn’t thrilled about it either. I have no clue where Funcom gets these great ideas from (but they need to let that person go). Especially against Arena Champion. First time ever I had to jump in, grab agro and save my thrall from a ***** that can almost 1 tap me. Just another example of Funcom “fixing” things that are not broken and letting the broken things just keep piling up.

Hey everybody,

There’s new balance changes introduced in the latest hotfix:

Tweak here and there but please don’t return the pve game back to easy mode.

You did great(English) , I fully understood everything you were saying.

I agree that the forced animation is the greater problem.

Overall, what this system needs is tweaks here and there. People are crying because they can’t sit and watch while their OP thralls do ALL the work anymore. Well I hate to break it to you folks but that ain’t PvE either. Tweaking the stats of Arena Champion so it is possible to kill it without a thrall is the better tweak in this situation, rather then completely removing it.

The new system needs to be fit in to the game as a whole. But seriously Funcom, don’t go and remove this as well like you pulled the plug on Dynamic Building Damage system. You do good changes, then remove them because some people cry all the time on the forums.

As for the people who think instant healing to 100% hp while moving by pressing a single button was ok… I can’t tell you how terrible your idea of a game is.

Funcom, you are heading the right way, don’t let exploiters, easy mode cravers and cowards change your course.

Exactly, this change comes on to excite another: the character’s dodge problem. It’s the whole “combat” aspect that needs to be reviewed. And I thank this change of healing mode because it will remain as the means to discover it and to express it.

Indeed, what should be done at CE?

  • Explorer? Necessary, yes, but this is hardly a challenge as we can sow all dangers (with rare exceptions).

  • Farm? Yes and there is not much to complain about. The different stages of the process are intuitive and follow one another correctly.

  • Building is great, it’s the best building game for me yet, but it’s completely dispensable.

It is an obligatory crossing point coupled with a high-ranking public proclamation: it is indeed “the fighting”.

And if since the destruction of the dodge, this game still retained its other positive aspects, the fights, on the other hand, were easy (and still are) while being a lot less fun. But there, they will start to be undrinkable under the pretext of realism and PVP balance. Yes, yes we can always talk to me about realism, but it will then be necessary to explain to me how two daggers allow a warrior (or a female warrior) to do a back somersault with 40 kilos of armor … “Realism” is an argument variable geometry … and I personally think it should be put aside here.

And since combat means “also defense”, then why not give the possibility of “parrying”, with the lance, the sword, the ax, with two weapons, etc… why not allow to push back the adversary properly? other than with an old kick, to really push it and knock it down? Or, on the contrary, if it is too heavy, that the energy expended allows you to disengage with a big leap back? Why not really diversify the buids, the viper and the mountain… the viper and the mountain… everything is there!

In fact, I really believe that the question of healing arises because upstream, there is something broken or not working good! You understand ?

But don’t tell me it’s harder … Just let your thrall hit, who hits harder and cashes infinitely better than you and you’ll end up playing + extension with your hand in your underwear! Nothing harder with this change, it’s completely wrong … just one more step in the wrong direction! Or a construction on a wobbly foundation if you prefer …

Original:

You also can to get an archer thrall with firespark arrows… it gonna be funny XD or sabertooth: autoaim jump+bleed.

Even Second Life canceled forced momentum of any kind. They called it slavery, bsdm, and other categories, likewise. They (fans) made it an opt-in with a second executable that has the restriction magic compiled into the executable.

In my opinion in a videogame realism cannot be above the fun, and pvp gets much less funny patch after partch because after each new patch instead of giving they take things away, sad.

Buff healing from food? Twice?? The twice of 0 is still 0 ¬¬

It wasn’t 0, and it isn’t 0 now either.

Not 0 but near 0 … XD

Laymen’s terms> broken=broken

For most foods I tried, it was 1 hp every 3 ticks. After the latest change, those same foods should give 2 hp every 1.5 tick. I haven’t had the time to try it yet.

The point of my previous message and this one is: did you try it? Was your opinion based on trying it out, or just a reaction to the patch notes?

“Broken” is subjective and imprecise. Numbers aren’t. I’m much less interested in the former than the latter, and I would be surprised if I was the only one.

Hence the term “laymen’s”

And the word “broken” implies “no longer works properly” which would also imply that it once did work properly, healing used to heal.

Dam, is it you they got trying to make all these PvP changes? No wonder the **** don’t work. No offense but what do you know about PvP?
