They would have to rollback the whole server which they have only done a few times on a bug affecting everyone on every server, havent seen them doing it on a one server.
But we will know for sure tomorrow after restart if it was a dev wipe or not
Right, but what I’m getting at is that everyone is requesting it on that server. If that is what the whole server wants would they listen?
The rules are the rules so if you were dev wiped and suspended for your build, they’d just point to the rules regardless of if others on the server like it.
This would be a good case for bringing all those who liked this to a private server though. On private, the rules are what the admins pick and if you’re all of a like mind, I imagine it’d be fun to play together without the threat of suspensions.
Right but the point is that while the base was large, it did not produce lag (the condition specified in the rules) and was specfically engineered not to produce lag. Also I am not currently suspended as I can currently log in.
No one really knows exactly what gets enforced and what doesn’t. Land claim abuse, lag, etc. Reading these forums, you’ll see a lot of people insist they were not breaking the rules as they understood them and, unfortunately, Zendesk doesn’t give details (which is a big issue and why I will never play on officials; if I do something wrong I want to know what so I can correct the issues rather than repeat them).
And suspensions always take a server restart to go into effect. I’m not sure what time that restart is or when your base decayed so can’t say whether being able to log in now is an indication that you’re in the clear.
Well if you read the other thread (posted above) you will see that everyone else on my server not only attested to my not having abused land claims or caused lag but said how much they liked my pyramids. So are all of those people wrong together? And if everyone on the server likes them and is not only not complaining but has complained about them going missing, then why is Funcom doing this?
If you have been dev wiped, it doesn’t matter how many people like it. They will tell you that’s what private servers are for. (Andy said pretty much that exact thing when showcasing the build for the Age of War chapter 1 dev stream). I don’t know if maybe a rep plays there and saw it, or if maybe someone complained, or how it would have come to their attention.
But I don’t make the rules. We don’t even know if you have been dev wiped or not. I’m just giving you a heads up, in case.
I must agree that the chance of a server roll back is zero and at this point you are going to be lucky if you don’t end up with a suspension on the next server restart.
You seem to have some supportive friends on the server so maybe they can help pull resources and help you rebuild whilst trying not to break the server rules on land claim abuse if that is what happened.
I would also suggest joining a private server by either starting your own or joining one with like minded people. I used to play on Official servers for three years but now only play on private servers with a nice community of people and would never go back to official, plus modded servers can be really fun to play on.

Thats what Im doing right now. It is also extremely messed up that they dont do listen to anyone on the server or what the collective will of the server wants. The people who commented on that other thread are only the one who logged in today. If everyone were on at once that thread would have 3 to 4 times the amount of support.
I’m afraid it wouldn’t of made a difference, once a decision has been made its final as far as Funcom is concerned.
Good luck on your new adventures and may you make new friends along the way wherever you decide to play.
Good morning .
If indeed it is an administrative suspension, there must be a player present on your server who has reported it to you .
I am not questioning your statements but : one or more (it takes a lot of reporting on the same server for the admins to intervene) players tell you that they like your constructions and yet they have reported you.
unfortunately if you had been suspended, you could not do anything, only cases of permanent banning can be the subject of mediation .
good luck
This is really terrible. The base in question was a major achievement on that server and took a lot of time and effort which benefitted all the players on the server - especially with the link to a map-wide teleport system. Don’t Funcom like us to play and work together as a community? This isn’t just a loss of buidlings (which is bad enough), it’s a major kick in the face for the community on that server. Please find out what wet wrong and put it right!
I wont know if Im suspended until the next server shutdown. However if it was a lot of people reporting me that doesnt make sense as the server on the whole liked that pyramid. One person on the other thread even said this was a “major kick in the face to the community on that server.”
It only takes one person to report. @mynotaure is incorrect. That being said, multiple reports have more success, but I can confirm that it only takes one person. Apparently at least one person on your server didn’t like it, despite your claim that “everyone” liked it.
True though if that is the case then funcom could have looked into the matter first and seen that it did not cause lag (as everyone else is attesting to) before they went and did something rash. There are such a thing as griefers afterall.
Lag isn’t the only factor. It can be sheer size… particularly if it blocks paths or claims an abnormally large area. It can also have violations of bridges, paths, decorative light structures, large wall perimeters, etc.
It did not. In fact the location was selected precisely so that it did not block anything off -a big empty expanse of desert.
Do you have screenshots of it?
On what collapsed you mean?
