I mean do you have screenshots of your base prior to it being wiped? If you had sufficient screens, we might be able to figure out whether it was actually in violation of anything or not. Regardless, it doesn’t matter at this point, though if you choose to rebuild (after a suspension), it’s nice to know what to avoid in the future.
Unfortunately no. It was a 56 x 56 Aquilonian and Argossean pyramid, and it was located in the expanse of desert west of Muriela’s, however.
That really tells us nothing unfortunately. We can only assume there was something that was wrong. 56x56 is pretty damn big, so who knows? That could be the sole purpose it was wiped.
Well youd need screenshots of the interior decor to figure anything out. And yes it was huge but it was also carefully designed to reduce lag at every step. (and it worked)
Have a look at this and maybe it might give you some idea of why it may of happened .
Some will report just for the amount of space taken up, particularly if they feel the need to go around it all the time. I’m not trying to be difficult here. I’m merely stating potential reasons why you’d be reported. You wanted to know what might have happened… yet you don’t seem to get it that the simple fact is that someone likely wanted it gone and Funcom won’t argue it if the individual feels an undue burden with it being there, especially if it’s large.
Well that was the weird thing too. It was a giant pyramid. Meaning you could run right over it if you needed. If anything it provided a convenient escape from enemies one would normally run into along the desert.
There was one clan that seemed to take issue with me over something entirely unrelated a few days prior on a completely different part of the map. The interaction was brief, but do you suppose that might have something to do with it? Like griefers wanting to “get back?”
From the moment you have a dispute with another person, they can actually try to remove you from the game.
If for one reason or another you are in a contentious position with the rules, then those who have a grievance with you will use this pretext against you.
never held out the stick to make you beat, don’t give them a reason to keep you out of the game .
The rules retaining the OCD are vague and subject to interpretations.
too large - blocks a path - locate on a resource area, on a spawn area of PNJ etc etc …… crossing the red line, even while vigilant arrives very quickly.
On the internet, hiding behind their screen, people rather than discussing often use the methods made at their disposal.
Well that’s the thing, I only inferred a (potential) dispute from them saying “no” once while I was explaining something. (I had temporarily for a few days used my army to block a rotbranch from griefing another players thralls -which someone had been doing.) And I explained it was for only a few days. They mostly spoke Russian though so I don’t know if they even understood.
A few days usually isn’t enough time for Funcom to react to a complaint. It’s unlikely that was the issue. However, it’s possible. It’s also possible that they had an issue already with you and that just culminated in the interaction. They could have already had the report put in and that interaction was a coincidence. Can’t say for certain. So… now that it’s been a day, did you get suspended? It should say something now on login if you did. If it’s land claim, you got your answer.
No the interaction was due to specific circumstances that arose on the spot. And I did get suspended, for a reason that makes absolutely no sense either. “Land claim abuse blocking resources of build locations.” Neither pyramid did that. The only thing I can think of is a “foundation bolt” that I used to link the decay timers of both pyramids, located a short distance between them. (both pyramids were in eyeshot of each other)
The “foundation bolt” was a pair of blocks with a ceiling and pillar used to attach them such that both pyramids counted as the same structure. I was going to remove it, but due to issues I had had with previous such timer links not necessarily working properly I kept it up. However I really don’t think this was what caused it.
Neither pyramid blocked any resources or passages either, and one could easily run over both of them.
Could it really have been the size?

Could it really have been the size and interior decoration?
@Caroll Would you look into this situation or find someone else who works at funcom who would? If anything I would like to know the exact reasoning as the reason given makes no sense. (I would like to rebuild at some point but without knowing the real reason I don’t know if that’s a good idea.) Was it the size? (as you can see above by the others comments it produced no lag)
That would certainly be a reason though. If you’re putting in bridges or paths or structures for the sheer purpose of linking structures for ease of refreshing, they’re looked at as land claim abuse.
And yes, if your structure is too large and someone thinks it’s taking too much land claim, it can be abuse. If the size of your structure serves little purpose but to be large, it’s no different from a giant perimeter wall. If you didn’t use every inch of your interior wisely, that’s basically what you have: a glorified and fancy perimeter wall. You know when you see someone’s box base and it’s open. You walk in and see like 3 small benches and a few other items and nothing else… yeah… same idea. It’s built to be more than it actually is.
I am pretty sure Funcom regret doing this. I am also positive this happened due to a small clan that made a false report (and knowing what country they are from this makes perfect sence).
I have stopped building now and pretty much done on 1053 if it that easy to fake a report and get something so wonderful deleted just like that.
It wasn’t. It was filled with stuff to go see. A shopping mall, a museum, two model villages, an apartment complex, a library, a garden park etc. It wasnt just giant to fill in space and block area. People would come to visit it on a regular basis just to see the inside.
The timer link I don’t think was it as it was relatively nearby and was in a spot I dont think anyone would care to build on and was perhaps a few blocks linked together in total
You’re not understanding what I’m saying. I suppose I’m done here. You got suspended. Deal with it. Don’t build big again, or don’t build on official anymore. that’s your safest bet since you can’t seem to figure out what was wrong.
I have been where ou are 1 1/2 years ago. It won’t help speculating. If you play on official servers, build compact, just one report might get ou stuff deleted. Ammoying as it might be, nobody here is going to give you the proper reason and there won’t be a rolback.
you got your lesson, as many others did and now move to private if you want to build big or just learn to build smaller and still nice
Well the suspended part isn’t the problem. It’s the build big part. That ruins the point of the game.
Dang that kind of ruins the point of the game. Building big fancy attractions and showing them to new people was most of the fun of it.
