Can we get some GRAY stone?

I’ve been wanting a T1 log cabin set since I started playing!

I’d also like a T .5 set that’s just sticks and leaves, for primitive shelters. They could even be temporary and unable to be refreshed. My sticks and leaf shelters are probably not something most people would care for though

It’s broad daylight in those pics. The torches barely factor in at all. Nor should it be necessary to use witchfire torches, with their artificial blue, to try to make it look a color it is not. It’s just not gray, period.

2 and 45. I’ve been in the optical business for many years and have both taken and given many color blindness tests.

I’ve also seen the game on multiple other monitors. Arena pieces always look brown.

There is. But it doesn’t address the problems of DLC build sets which modders aren’t allowed to touch. :frowning:

I actually think that’s an awesome idea!

I built a sample structure in the north without any torches to exclude all yellow effects.

While it certainly looks grayer than in the desert with yellow torches, it does still have a slight brownish tinge, so I think it is fair to say the Arena set is not completely gray.

However, it is pretty close. And I think even true gray would look brown in the desert with yellow torches.

But it would let you re-color the Stonebrick and Reinforced Stone.

Brown. Gray is neutral. Can be warm or cool, but that’s it. Blood and Sand is brown.

Yes, it is. Light deep purple shade.

Very few things are naturally gray. Most natural rocks tend towards red, orange, blue, purple, yellow or green, or even a mixture of several colors. Heck, the famous Castle Grayskull is actually green.

This thread makes me curious, what color do you see? (no post-production)

lol

I see grey. But a muddy grey, like arena. So I understand why people building in the desert say brown. I always build in Highlands, and it always looked grey to me.

Yes in this case, the original color is a mixture of greys with a hint of grey-brown, to simulate granite, but it depends on the ambient light of the area.

I think the stone color from where you get it ( the color of stone that you mined it from) should also set the color atleast for non dlc building pieces.

Yup, that’s grey with blue atmospheric lighting.
