Cant use battle pass / bazaar weapons and armor unless owned?

I bought the battle pass and and worked at it till I unlocked the sliver arcane focuses but my friend has not yet unlocked so i crafted him one and he could not even use it because he could not make it himself

there alot of hate for that mate , some say good funcom locked DLC IS GOOOOODDDDDD , meanwhile im on the fence that i cant even share pieces of pies

we got a lot of threads about that… most people angry and confused, some - defending such mechanics…
