Characters Lost (ID Issue)

Didn’t play in a while, with my girlfriend we decided to get back into Conan since we now have some free time and can finally play… but our characters are gone for some reason, we asked around and apparently its due to the changes between Steam and Funcom ID… we made a new character logged out and logged back it… rebooted the server and tried again nothing worked.
Constructions are still there but the Characters are still gone.

Have you tried logging in singleplayer and then logging to your server. If still not working, you may want to look at the topics of people explaining how to edit your game.db or use mods such as pippi to add your new chars to your old clan. There is always the option to wait for Funcom to assist you.

Hi @Kamien, did you use Pippi mod in your dedicated server?

If not, the issue should have been resolved through a previous hotfix:

We’re deploying an emergency hotfix aiming to take care of some of the critical issues that have arisen after Update 41. In particular, these fixes should address the problem with “lost characters” some players have experienced after playing with the new update. We have implemented measures to prevent this from happening again, and we have added a system to merge the old character with any profile that lost access to it even if those who got affected by it proceeded with the creation of a new character.

As Narelle has suggested, going into singleplayer is worth a try as it might also help kick off the fix.

Only what I wrote mate.

1, Removed Pippi (was the only mod we had installed as we have a Vanilla server.)
2, Copied across my game.db file from a backup BEFORE the Patch41 came out.
3, I always had all 4 ports pointing to the server so no firewall changes
(Game, Raw UDP, Steam Query & RCON Ports)
4, Using DedicatedServerLauncher1046, I selected “Validate Server Installation”

Thanks Hugo, I do have Pippi running on my server and asked in their Discord for assistance when this happenned but no one seemed to have experienced what I experience… glad to see some posted on the forums about it lol

So basically I need to remove Pippi… I’ll try that thanks …

So after trying… not working for me ( don’t know how to do the whole DB thing and backups… soooo RIP.)

REALLY sad that we lost all our progress but oh time time to move on…
