I would like to see some city builder items in the game like a item like the work bench but its a siple thing like a rock or a dice game so I can put a few thralls on it and they stand then and talk or they are around the dice game playing even a chaur I can have for thrals to sit in and be drunk in the bar I have stuff like that.
what a pity all this stuff will be impossible to interact with other players, so you just turn a patch of wild land into inert decoration theme park.
This game has no way of city adventures, where you are in a civilized environment, have to obey laws and spend money. All cities are just human NPC spawns with several points of interest like dungeon entry/exit.
Cities built by players are 9/10 dull ghost towns, incapable of providing any events, other that insanely patient player killer hiding on a roof in hope to spot passerby.
I was thinking the same thing. Would be nice to have some NPC city life, markets with merchants, in keepers, bards, guards cheering in taverns. Those NPC and Thralls we capture can do some gestures, more interesting idles…something… anything that would bring some life to the settlements we build.
OOo for pve maybe a trader thrall. potentially just upgrading a bearer in a way) where they act slightly on their own, if you know where another clan is etc… you can send your bearer (they would be flagged as neutral in this aspect and would neither attack other thralls or be attacked by them other than potentially non captured thralls ie: the summoning place or areas like that which they could potentially pass by on their trade route. You give them stacks of 100 items which they turn into a bearer pack and they wander along the fastest / safest route to another clan who can accept what they want to trade which the first clan sets the price of the barter be it feathers, gold coins, stone, ironstone etc… And they wander back to your base after the trade is accepted or denied. Once their route is set etc… you could follow them to provide an escort but they would be leadable until they return to the base.
Or we could have our own Merchant Thrall that we place in our settlement just like a blacksmith, carpenter, cook, etc.
We could craft a Merchant Table for our thrall and then our Merchant thrall could receive Random Daily Supplies from Traveler traders (the same kind of stuff you loot). Then we can spend our gold and silver to buy items.
It could be made more interesting like for example the merchant’s inventory could last only for a few of days then they would be “sold” (meaning gone ) So you would have to kinda check what’s up for sale.
The Merchant could even have some unique items every now and then, of course a bit more expensive , so you would have to save your coin, and if your lucky you can buy it if the rare item pops in his inventory.
Or we could even give our Merchant thrall coin in advance and select the item we want from a list and then come back later to check if the thrall has got it yet or not. Again this can be random, he could have the requested item in a day or in a week, or in 3 weeks.
Or we could even cancel our item request and get our coin back, maybe let’s say we get a little less coin back in case we cancel. (you know interest and stuff )
I like this idea a lot, but I’d suggest a different spin on it. We can use our merchant as a way of selling goods to other players who visit. Fill their inventory with wares, set prices, and then other players can stop by and make the trades. Would encourage an actual economy on servers
I’d combine a trader and a merchant. Their goods technically have to come from somewhere. Yes, we can all find supplies for and make things, but sometimes it’s nice to just find it etc… It definitely sounds fun on pve servers. Something like this might actually encourage me to play online rather than just my own sandbox.
Yea, or we could have inn keepers and taverns, Potion vendors.
We could go farm and make drinks potions, cooked food, then give them to our inn keeper thrall so he could sell it to our thrall soldiers or whatever. We could make a bit of extra coin from tavern drinks and food sales
I’m only playing for 2 weeks , never played online… but just throwing ideas out there
I would welcome anything to make my city and thralls more life-like. This merchant idea is great. Would love to be able to sell and buy from other players.
What can you sell in a world where everyone can craft whatever he wants?
Legendary weapons, armors, random potions things that are harder to come by, food. In pve I would say it’s a great chance for rp.
How do you craft everything? I just reached level 60 few days ago and unfortunately Feats are capped, so I can’t unlock any more stuff since i’m not gaining any Feats points. I wish i could though, there are so many more weapons, crafting stations and building stuff to be unlocked…
Tablet of power gives more feat points, you need to find fragments of power to gain them though. It takes a while to do it since you have to beat up tons of things in the nameless city to gain them, they drop from the bosses there.
Thanks a lot for the info! Much appreciated! I’ll have to research into it, it’s good to know what i need to do and what to look for, otherwise i would probably just wonder around aimlessly and die as i usually do LOL.
other than the fact the things in the unnamed city hurt and the bosses usually have things guarding them. Make sure you have a good meat shield thrall with you
There are several fragment of power chests in designated spots around UC as well (not guaranteed spawn). Tablet of power can be learned in the Library by spending fragments on scrolls.
You can get all feats by acquiring Fragments of Power in Unnamed City. They are in chests (16 of them) and are sure drops from all bosses.
Others have already mentioned the fragments of power, so I just wanted to add something else: if you don’t have enough feat points to unlock something you want, you can craft the Potion of Natural Learning – or, if you haven’t acquired that recipe yet, you can use the Yellow Lotus potion.
The Potion of Natural Learning will reset all your feats and give you all your feat points back so you can redistribute them. The Potion of Bestial Memory will reset all your attributes and give you all your attribute points back so you can redistribute them. The Yellow Lotus Potion does both at the same time.
Selling food? RP has meaning when everyone are also do RP
In all other modes: build a single fish trap and you will never starve as long as you have fuel for fire. This game has so many recipes, but all food has similar effects. Aloe soup, herbal tea and that cthulhu fish are only things worth cooking. All religious feast meals require exotic ingridients but are no better than regular stake.
The food itself is more of an rp thing. You know wandering around an area while you munch on a snack with a friend and talk? A date where someone serves you at a dinner table etc… Some people’s goal might not be to exit so much as to experience life where it happens.
