Funny how stupid this can get. I’m trying to troubleshoot this and if no one wants to cooperate… that’s fine. The game can die for all I care. You’re basically telling me something I didn’t ask for.
Cattibria is only a Mod and is only here to babysit the forums and forward information that gets sent to a Funcom email address that gets ignored. All they can do.

We just ran a purge on my Dedicated Server and same thing, disconnect after disconnect. Only 2 of us online at the time, then a third logged on and got disconnected within a couple of minutes and couldnt get back in. We all kept getting booted back to the server select screen each time we tried to get back in. It took several attempts each time to get back in only to disconnect again within either a few seconds or a couple of minutes. Must have done at least 10 disconnects each.
As soon as the Purge finished no more disconnects.
I am looking forward to the next chapter when Funcom releases more of it´s “godly” contents that even more blow our servers into pieces. Its an real honor for us unworthy servants to be able to run monthly describtions for servers that run like dogs poops after every update until the next update comes around the corner and hits a new level of “unplayability” for us. Don´t ever fear that you have seen it all because Funcom is the one that shows you otherwise.
I feel refreshed everytime I am starting the game and then enter my server in the knowing I will sacrifice another of my toons today to the Funcom Liveservice gods. I am so excited about their holy act of unprofessionality that I am starting to shake and move around my body all over the place. I warp around in pur excitement, I pass out regularly and wake up in whole another part of the map. Itsn´t that cool?
I am a pacifist now you know? The minute I get into a fight with one of this unholly creature that wander the cursed land I am getting punished by the mighty. He will take away my slave to remind me of my sin. I am now free to spend my whole time sitting around, dreaming of what I could have achieved and become without ever doing it. I dress up myself with shiny new cloths I paid a leg and arm for that have fashionable holes in it, very fancy. I am also fasting 7 days in the week, because the gods gave me the strength to live without food almost completely. And so do my slaves. They stare at their feeding pots and say: ney. I still believe they are jealouse of the new robot creature the gods gave to me and want to become like him, very shiny on the outside but completly useless in the end.
And my pets, oh my beloved pets. They are so fragil now, I love it. If I breath slightly they die immediately. Now I can finally run my baby animal breeding farm without ever running out of hide again.
For real my friends I tell you. Of all my anchestors I live the best life. Come and join me to spend your gaming time sitting in your base dreaming of what you could have become, you wont regret it, I swear. I even give you an discount. How does that sound? Hmm? And don´t you worry paying it off. Its very easy. You will have enough time to work double shifts in real life. Because regular gaming you won´t anymore. The gods will make sure of that. They will perfectly time you out of the game almost immediately.
Doh, this happens on private servers? My god. Thinking it might be time to pack this game away. Don’t even think of playing Dune. Can you trust them with this bs?
I did a quick Rotbranch dc run just for science(Works with Rocknose king also) and took a quick peek in the logs. Few interesting lines before the disconnects, yes plural:

These are not in order and i can send you the full log files if youre feeling you want to scour through them. Although these issues are easily reproduced and would be 100% more valuable to do so in debug mode.
This issue has been going on for far too long now.
My friend who I invited to this game sent me this screenshot today, writing, “To hell this game. This is the fifth time this has happened in an hour.”
I don’t think you need to know the language to understand what this screenshot shows. It’s not that Funcom can’t fix the issue, it’s that it doesn’t care about its own players and feedback.
I appreciate you commenting, but the vast vast majority of us have made clear what issues we’re having for over a month now, and there has been no real response or acknowledgement of the issue. You have asked for server, internet connection, etc., but given no other information at all (as far as I’ve seen). This issue is game-breaking for many users, as evidenced by the posts and comments. All we want is some kind of update, as this issue is incredibly easy to replicate and you really shouldn’t need more of us telling you the exact same thing over and over and over. I understand this may not be a priority, but it’s a real shame that such a great game is in such an unplayable state for so many of its users.
Agreed. Was on siptah the other day with @Marylambs and we wanted to do the pools and a surge. Nope. Couldn’t do that due to disconnects. These are things people actively wanna do to maintain relevance in the game, and they can’t even do it anymore. Seems pretty serious when you can’t even play the game like it’s meant to be played.
Hello! I’ve been a fan of this game for a long time and until recently the disconnects when fighting 3 skull world bosses happens every time and multiple times during the fight. This isn’t fun. It’s exhausting and puts me off when I think about playing. Please fix the game already. Funcom!!!
I haven’t seen any mention the desync issue. It depends on if you want a fix, a band aid, or another shot.
One major lag spot is the inventory synchronization. When the inventory is accessed, the game freezes until it can synchronize with a result. If that process is not put in the background, then it is blocking. In other words, patching up UE4 for asynchronous processing is a bottleneck.
Can’t really blame funcom for trying to backport.
Settings needs a new checkmark box for turning off the quick contents window. Because it is not quick. It causes lag, and that goes back to OP.
I just finished the battlepass and uninstalled the game. I feel terrible that Im gonna lose everything when the my base decays but fk this… Funcom seems to want to prove to us they do not deserve our loyalty at all.
It’s pretty sad that Funcom is silent on this for months and then basically pops in to say “shut up”.
If you want us to shut up then stop breaking the game. I would much rather spend my time in-game than on these forums. Failing that, prioritize fixing it when you do break it. This is not some rare hard to reproduce bug that needs player feedback to isolate. This is so widespread that it has destroyed the game for many players. If Funcom had any competence whatsoever they would have logs and be able to analyze the logs and figure out what is going on.
By all means, ignore us noisy malcontents so we leave your game forever and you can focus on pumping out more broken bazaar pieces.
The purpose of my post is to get more information on the issue. the more information the development team has the easier it is to identify the cause. Some issues only occur in the Server-based game and not in SP. Both use the same code which means that the actual cause may not be as easy to identify and fix.
The best example I have to demonstrate this is fighting the Rotbranch at the Circle of Swords. After starting the fight a moment after I get disconnected from the server. This is Official 1500 NA. Please make the game playable again.
Just so you’re aware, that warning occurs frequently in single player as well. I doubt that it’s related to what people are experiencing. Unfortunately, reading the logfiles is like getting a full-body CT scan; it can turn up a lot of “issues”, but most aren’t related to the specific symptoms you’re experiencing.
They log a lot of warnings/errors that are either completely innocuous or are handled silently by the game and generally aren’t the cause of failures that are experienced by the retail client. It can definitely be useful stuff in a debugging / test build of the client, not so much for a release version because you just end up creating a lot more needles in the haystack.
They could provide an option to create more verbose logs, but I wish for the default retail client, they would only log the warnings or errors that they know will actually impact gameplay and help people help them track down problems. The debug logging they’re doing just muddies the waters, in my opinion.
That is ridculuos. I brought it to Funcoms, as well as via Zendesks, attention shortly after the mid February update, only to recive a ‘problem solved’ email and my query closed. Until now, apart from the 2 times you have brought this subject matter up, we have heard NOTHING! This is supposedly a gaming company that relies heavily on the client base purchasing dlc yet we are treated worse than second hand citizens with regards to communication. Customer Service is all about listening, and communicating with the clients. Funcom have done nothing regarding this. Shame on you representing Funcom, but more importantly, shame on Funcom for IGNORING the people that are helping pay their wages.
The issue at the time was due to an issue caused by a service offered to other companies by Microsoft through a subsidiary.
