The goal is not to empty out official servers. I hope we are agreeing on that.

What I hear lately is that you guys just hop on a server and delete whole bases (even smaller ones) without talking to the clans first and we are talking about bases that stood there for several month or even years without beeing a problem to others. Players coming online, seeing their base crumbling down in front off their eyes without knowing the reason why it gets destroyed. Even if people break your rules, they should be given the time to build back and do right and foremost get to know what exactly they did wrong so they can avoid doing the same again. I don´t play on officals anymore but I see a lot of people entering our private servers, saying the same thing as I described above. Banned for 14 days without even knowing what they did wrong. Angry and frustrated and not trusting you guys anymore. And no, we are not talking about the ones that terribly abusing the systems. We are talking about normal people that obviously don´t have a glue why they exactly got banned. Not that it matters for most after a while because they will not play on officials anymore after contacting zendesk and not getting an answer for weeks (their words, not mine).

During my 1.5 days of downloading the 60 GB patch my base was undefended. One of my pals, an ally on the server, said there was a Funcom staffer on during a good portion of the evening. Honestly, I wondered if my stuff would be standing, simply because of like how @Masmassu says, the rules are fluffy.

I would invite all players to contribute their numbers in the linked thread. It might help to understand where we all stand. And for the record, I feel like my building on the server is becoming excessive, since I built a bridge and a house for public access and mesh denial. That’s at 7,500 pieces.

Using objectivity is not being fluffy. So far I have heard many people say, “I heard this , I heard that, someone told me,” but only a few that actually said, “My base was destroyed by Funcom.”

The heresay seems to be the norm.

To be fair, you usually have to ferret out ‘my too huge castle got deleted’ as most people aren’t wanting to admit to breaking the rules.
