Yep PS. First the 4 and then switched to 5 when I got one of those lottery notifications from Sony. The only big issue I have currently is PvEC servers are, in the best lighting, unstable in trying to log in. The two pvp servers I have storage in are easy to reach as is the PvE servers I refresh. For the most part, I think PvP was destroyed by a win-at-all-costs mentality but since FC refuses to explain the purpose of PvP servers (because the server type doesn’t encourage pvp but just destruction of bases) you get a lowest common denominator effect where the sewer dominates.
I’ve been around since I got the game back on April 2019 on ps plus. While we are experiencing problems, it’s nothing like those poor bastards over on Xbox had to deal with throughout my tenure playing. I think it was literally months they couldn’t play during one update.
Now that you mention pugs. I am curious which films they will use for reference and modeling. So far, I prefer the sci-fi miniseries but the upcoming part two may change that.
Which btw, we are in October and the film release is very quickly coming. I hope they understand there is a very narrow window to capitalize on the free marketing if they release it within the interest timeframe. Hell I would already be working with the book publishers/ Barnes and Noble or Amazon to add a coupon for the game to Dune book purchases. Maybe even talk to Regal cinemas and the like to add codes to the snack bags and drink cups. But that’s just me.
Maybe just 1k worth of Solari (or whatever dune crom coin will be defined as) to entice then to get the game and see what it’s about.
Also when dune releases, can we get desert rat and worm ouroboros clan banners for CE?
Yeah, i mean i can see the problems god bubbles caused, but some kind of offline protection should be tere. If you’re not always able to be online during raid hours you log back in and find yourself in the desert. Have been there quite some times.
If you’re solo and up against an alpha clan out of no-live dudes you have no chance. There is literally at least one of them online 24/7.
But pve servers are even worse in my opinion. On the server i checked out recently, noob river was almost completely covered with buildings. i didn’t go any further so far, but i can only imagine what the entire map looks like.
To be fair some of those buildings are very creative and beautiful. But the lag and textures glitching out because of a zillion building pieces is ridiculous.
Pvp at least has an acceptable performance. Didn’t try pvp-c so far.
From what I’ve gathered the game will be a completely different era then the films. As far as game play the game is sounding like fallen earth. Open world pvp, cities or zones are PVE. Not much more is known then what you see in the trailers. A lot of assumptions, postulations, conjunctures, and speculations about what the game could be, but little more.
So everyone is hot for the beta that is supposed to take place this year. The movie was pushed back, not sure if the game was as well, but was supposed to be on track for a simultaneous release. NOTE funcom.
I want one of those desert trics in RL.
People give me about my opinion of funcom but “better the devil you know”. I’d rather buy a game made by funcom knowing what to expect of funcom. Then an unknown developer because, I hate surprises; like Atlas
Well i rather put where my wallet is… and that supporting a game dev that speaks instead of hiding behind a silence cm …
Like larian studio for example they explain their chioces and they properly put where their promises are. And well i would wait until people review it well and get to know what in store for us … i doubt it will jave the same feeling of their ither games
Are you kidding me? ffs, how many times do PvP MMOs need to be tried & fail? They ALWAYS end up needing to be PvE oriented because strait PvP isn’t enough.
To be honest…It is just my opinion - repair kits are useless. And was useless before. The only repair kits i have used - legendary repair kits, during time when legendary items were repairable. It’s just not so hard to get resourses to repair broken items (or even new items that can be looted from nps\chests). Another thing if possibility to repair items was only throught kits, but seems to me that in such case it would be easyer to just craft new item.
On BG3, a lot of people were asking for hirelings to be customizable, since they were fixed initially. Lo and behold, Larian listened and there we have it. The game came out for console only a little while ago. Probably pc players could already do it via mods, but console players couldn’t. Now everyone can do it.
We’ve been asking for thrall customization on CE for years now and all we got was the middle finger, as thralls are still not customizable and are made worse every time they touch them in recent history. This is just an example on how things are handled differently in other companies.
Now, even the purge was screwed in this age, and I stopped believing Funcom is actually able to deliver a good product. I lost any incentive to play. There’s no point in building a base and that goes for both pvp and pve for different reasons, the later being a bugged purge that seems unable to find a path if you build normally. A great idea was turned into a shit show.
So, about Dune, I guess I’ll wait and see, but my expectations are really low at this point.
I was actually talking about legendary repair kits, sorry i didn’t make it clear.
But they worked on armors like the armor of the champion as well, now you have to run the dungeon over and over for the scraps to repair it.
Same with godbreaker armor.
And if you’ve been lucky to find a good legendary weapon, but rng decides to screw you, you can’t repair it and have no replacement.
And both of those things are horrible especialy in pvp. In pvp you don’t have the time to run dungeons all the time.
Before the AoS hit i had chests full of those legendary repair kits. Now i can throw them right out of the window.
What’s even their purpose now?
I don’t know. I always found the hoarding aspect of PvP is more status symbol than anything else. I don’t see how legendary gear is changing much in pvp due to the nature of pvp is accepting your demise and kit removed. No one wants to risk a legendary in combat.
The only dungeon I see being frequented would be sunken city and dungeon combat is the best. Why? Because there
are no war pyramids or vaults with kits or anything like that
Death means something in a dungeon unlike the rest of the map.
Well you’re not wrong, it really hurts if you lose god stuff in pvp. But i play solo because none of my friends is into CE… for … reasons
And i prefer to have good gear and some kits hidden. Usually i cover them with illusions to make it look like I’m bad equipped.
And if someone gets to close they are pretty surprised
But everyone has a different approach i guess.
Or maybe I’m just insane
That with PvP was just one example, you have that issue in every mode, and champion’s & godbreaker’s armor is the worst example i think.
You are just forced to run that dungeon on a regular basis if you use some of these armors.
And if you’re willing to take the risk of farming those in pvp, you have to come back to the dungeon and risk an ambush.
And rng is the other thing, today i got the same helmet 3 times in the unnamed city. So if your legendary weapon breaks before you have something to replace it… …
Legendary repair kits themselves are just useless now, you can’t even put them into the dismantle bench. All you can do is throw them away.
I hope they change that. But I’m testing something maybe it works out.
I hand one of my thralls the nemedian helmet, they facetank all hits anyway, maybe it works.
But that would be a solution for weapons only.
So you have no idea what a reskin is do you?
Please give me a list of reskins so I can laugh.
The biggest majority of the battle pass items are new models, not reskins.
Do you know what a uvmap is?
New models are not modified. So what much mesh manipulation modeling have you done?
And son, I’m 63 I probably have work boots older then you.
