Would be nice to have official word 1 way or the other, if its a bug then I am sure they will fix it, if on purpose, everyone decides if they want to buy a second copy.
Don’t forget it comes immediately on the heels of a Steam sale ending. If this was intentional it is absolute scumbaggery of the highest order on Funcom’s part.
Well, as stated by someone else. Funcom is not running a 24/7 support and it is 1am in Norway. There won’t be an answer in the next couple of hours.
Interesting that the bug reports on this were merged with this thread and that it is in the general discussion category and not bug category… that doesn’t bode well. Hopefully just a Steam error.
Do you honestly think everyone is going to buy multiple copies of your game for one household? Or can afford to?! My wife enjoys playing the game when I’m not on it. But I am not about to buy another copy to be used on the SAME COMPUTER! It’s ridiculous.
A moderator is doing part of their allowed tasks … merging the same topic together so it’s in one thread for Funcom staff to read through, track and respond to … read nothing more into it than that… merging them together means when Funcom staff in Norway get into the office in a few hours and start the investigation into why the Family Share option has changed they can respond to this one thread with the relevant information and not have to read through several and type the same thing.
The topic was created after office hours in Norway and wasn’t flagged in a way that would have alerted USA based community managers that there is an issue they might have been able to start investigation on. And now it’s after office hours in the USA as well. (Not that I’m trying to blame the posters who have brought this issue to light … they are most likely unaware they can use the @ Community (remove the space) to contact all the community management team.)
Hell no family sharing breaks the game with body vaults
THANK YOU funcom for doing something right
fix this funcom, bour demands it
Actually came here to say I literally think this isn’t something Funcom has control of, as Steam is the licensed distributor here. But my other Steam games are working fine with family sharing, so I guess I’m wrong.
Bad call, dudes. I like Conan and use it as an RP medium for myself and a small handful of friends. We use family sharing basically so we can have multiple characters. We are all friends out of game too and have too many other mediums to justify continuing to purchase DLC and renting a server if you’re gonna kneecap alts like this.
Although I for one already bought the season pass, so f me you already got my money I guess. If this was a deliberate change, however, you can bet I’ll be lobbying for my money back though.
A dev posted it in the Mod Developer discord group…
They are making a statement soon… I’m not trolling. Funcom did this.

Mkay. Followup on the above. It IS us that did it and I’ve talked to the people responsible for it to make a statement about it. I won’t say anything more here because of 11:35pm and this will become a whole thing. I hope they post something asap tonight or tomorrow morning
If I may ask when did they say this and where please I must not have seen it.
“Soon™”
Really though, it is like 2am in Oslo right now. And well into the evening in NC. So do you have a screencap from the Discord? Do you have a timeframe?
If you really copied that from discord where is the timestamp? Where is your actual source and why the secrecy? Posting stuff like that causes way, way more harm than good. That’s exactly what that post supposedly from RobtheSwede alludes to and here you are fueling that.
If you are not trolling and they did do this then please tell us a little more. I am leaning to the side that funcom did do this but I don’t want to go blowing it out of the water until I find out.
Blah blah blah…
It’s a real statement, I really could give a sh*t if you believe me or not – you’ll hear from funcom soon enough.
Well I was looking and it has been moved to the list of games not supported by steams family share.
stay polite Guys
If you are going to post the convo the post the whole convo. He goes on to say after that that it in fact was them that made the decision. I can’t upload a screenshot as I’m a new member to the forum but I’ll copy and paste it here from the discord.

I have gotten some pokes about this, so in case anyone is asking: Family sharing should work as far as I know - AS FAR AS I KNOW, we haven’t done anything there though and it should™ work fine. Basically, the only people that can make a game non-shareable are people directly in contact with steam (such as marketing, community, etc) or Steam themselves - I doubt it’s us telling Steam to do it but it’s not impossible either. It’s just weird because most of us are on vacation now and I don’t see a reason to turn it off right in the middle of vacation.
