Please test to see if the same situation occurs in single player without mods. If it doesn’t, its mod related and could be an issue with the mod, or a load order issue.
Timelord75: When I was getting crashes I was using Yamatai Exiles - Katana Family, Emberlight, and Sexiles.
You’re using two of those… maybe something isn’t playing well between them right now. I made a fresh server that now has only Emberlight on it, and so far I’ve only had one crash (that didn’t even produce an error screen) in probably 10 hours of play time.
I do want to say though, when I just removed the two mods that weren’t Emberlight, the game kept crashing. I added -norhithread to the launch arguments and that cut down the crashes a lot more, but they only really stopped ('cept that one) after making a fresh server with new characters and only Emberlight on it. So even if you remove a mod… something icky seems to stay in the db files.
I was told a recent patch changed something with weapons (enumeration or something?), and that mods that haven’t updated since that patch are sometimes getting wonky if they add weapons. Maybe it’s making some mods not play well with others right now.
I also found out the load order really does matter, with mods on the bottom overwriting mods above where they overlap.
Does Sexiles add custom weapon animations? If so, this would apply with Emberlight. If not, then it’s probably not a big deal. Most of the “big mods” should be compatible with each other at this point, as the Enum you refer to is something the modding community is working behind the scenes to keep each other compatible with. However, even if a mod wasnt updated to reflect the Enum list changes we in the community did, I’m not sure a crash would result. I suppose it’s impossible to fully predict, but I would suspect something more along the lines of it either not working at all with that custom weapon, or it playing the wrong animation.
Sexiles hasn’t been updated for several months now though. There could be who knows what as far as incompatibilities with official updates.
Crashing due to mods often is something that can be repeated. So if you can identify how you crashed with Emberlight, and get it to repeat every time, then it would be important information to share with the Emberlight team.
I was talking with them. I don’t think it’s their mod though. I first thought it was Sexiles, but I suspect it might be an interaction of mods instead. They said it’s just my hardware, cuz I have an older AMD card, but I don’t think that’s quite right. For me something in the mods was causing my gpu to freak out. I mean yes that’s hardware, but it’s also software, y’know?
ARK Survival Evolved had RHI problems out the wazoo for a while too. Eventually they did something in some patch or the other that cleaned it up. I’ve never had similar crashes in ARK (same engine). So, there’s something somewhere that’s causing a specific kind of problem. Since it doesn’t seem to be an issue in the base game… I dunno what can be done for me other than to figure out the trigger and avoid it.
Right now, with only Emberlight, and -norhithread on my steam launch options, I have been stable. Will test further this weekend, and I have shared the above with the Emberlight folks already
After trying sexiles alone and ember + sexiles together, if the crashes resume I’ll also try to find the sexiles folks.

Just got a fatal error while flying in admin mode across the map and look upon a base with 8k pieces. The base is located at C7 center.
but i got no dedicated message about what kind of error it is. just a fatal error.
Our server still runs without mods

That’s the one that nailed me scores of times. How’d you get a screen cap of it? I always had to close it before I could ever do anything. Had to write the bloody thing down by hand and re-enter it manually -_-.
Sorry that you’re getting it unmodded. Did you ever have a mod installed? As near as I can tell, even if you unsubscribe from the mod and delete the mod data outta the server… some of it will persist in the database and your game will NEVER be fully clear of said mod. Ever. Drives me nuts.
So if you EVER had a mod, you probably have some crud left over @_@.
Well, I never have used mods so in what’s happening here doesn’t seem to be related to mods at all.
What ever it is, it means it’s something common to all of (if not most of us) our base files that the engine depends on.
As for the screen shot, I clearly remember seeing that pop up once when I exited the game. The one I posted here was a copy from a previous post, although I do remember getting that error. Something similar happened a couple of times before I got that visual message where an error report was sent to FunCom. But that was all the information I could see on that message.
Oddly enough I didn’t have a different issue occur before that (one where the game and PC locks up) But I haven’t seen it again since although I’m still getting the lockups.
The other screenshot was a report from the ReImage program that identified “unknown” errors relating to third party apps and for that, it’s Conan Exiles and Steam.
I’m still corresponding with the server host on getting db and dbm snapshots for the development team.
So far the only directions I’ve gotten are letting me edit engine and server settings ini files.
The files on the server host should be identical to those we use in solo/sp/coop modes since they share the same database. In a separate issue, I was getting the same issue in solo and MP. So that means there’s common files somewhere shared by both machine and server with errors in it.
One thing concerns me though and it may have nothing to do with it at all. But I wonder where Steam fits into all this?
I don’t think it does, honestly.
The error that you posted a picture of is a well known problem with UE4 and RHI. ARK had a really bad problem with it for a while, but they fixed it somehow.
Do you use DX11 or an older gpu outta curiosity? Newer gpus (and dx12) tend to not suffer from this part of UE4.
I’ll need to dig into that and find out. Thanks for pointing that out.
Added: From what I can tell, I’m running with DX12.
I can say from my side that there was never a mod installed on our server.

Got a new “Fatal Error”
While teleporting in admin mode to an other player i got a blank error message
It´s really annoying…multi-delete is still not working, blank fatal errors while doing normal things or doing admin things… 
Hi @Rhiannon I would like to ask: Do you only get kicked of the server while the server is still online or did the server crash? And if you „only“ get kicked of, are you the only one or get all players kicked of silmutaneously?

I´m the only one who got the fatal error. Server is still running fine in this time and noone except me ist “kicked” with the fatal error message.
Thanks for answering my question @Rhiannon. I noticed that you are playing on an official server at least on a server without mods. I am Admin of a private modded server and we seem to have exactly the same problem. Disconnects from the game. Our Disconnects occur when one special player comes in Renderdistance of his base. As the base begins to render all players are kicked off the server. It’s not a huge base but also not small and it is built with vanilla building tiles, mostly from the blood and sand dlc. If another player is coming in renderdistance of his base there is no Disconnect. It’s weird
. We tried a lot of workarounds but didn’t found any solution.
The same modlist of our server is working fine on other servers. Our server was newly installed at the 9th of September. Your report is very important because it shows that it is not a mod problem / this might be interesting for the Devs -> Could this be helpful for you to solve some issues @Ignasi?
BiJay, assuming the player remains on the server when you are kicked, could I suggest a few things?
First, the coordinates of the base may be helpful although I know they will be general since the base is not one foundation.
Secondly, would the player be willing to eliminate the base, section by section, and see if the problem remains? As admin, you would be entirely justified in replacing the materials.
A lot to ask, but we feel your pain and want to give the devs as many clues as they can ‘stomach’.
