Oh I don’t feel any pain about this, I am optimistic Funcom will solve this problem one day. We made a lot of crazy tests:
Everytime the player comes in renderdistance of his base all players get kicked off the server. It happens with 100% certainty, you can practically set the clock after that, as we say in Germany. Shortly before, the player notices each time that the bar for the Stamina freezes.
Other players from other clans entering his base don’t causing Kick offs
Via Pippi we transfered the player in a new clan. Now he can enter the base, which is no longer his own, without causing kick offs. Transferring him back in his old clan he again causing kick offs from the server.
Via Pippi we transferred other players in his clan. They are able to enter the base without causing kick offs.
The player has another base in another region of the Map which he can enter without causing kick offs.
These are the coordinates of the center of his base: TeleportPlayer -198738.046875 -24096.960938 -2860.870605 His first Disconnect was from here on his way to his base: TeleportPlayer -198738.046875 -24096.960938 -2860.870605
From there other players can see as the base begins to render.
The server itself doesn’t crash, the server is stable.
Today we got 8 Disconnects from the server. Everytime we just thought that we found the cause we seem to find a new one. I am sure it has to do with massive loading issues, loading of the environment and of player structures. I also played on Testlive and there the loading of the environment and player structures is much faster. A certain sign before the Disconnects is the freezing of the stamina bar and a strange behavior of NPCs and monsters.
Thanks for the last patch. The lag-dificulties are temporaly gone…till next update (joking )
but the mass delete is still not working and the fatal errors still remain
We’re aware of the mass delete crashes and they’re being looked upon. It would be really helpful if you could send the crash report when prompted once you crash so we can receive those crash dumps and look into them.
Thanks in advance.
The UE4-ConanSandbox Game has crashed and will close
Fatal error:

Im on an official pve server.
I couldnt start the game.
I waited about 8 minutes and exited out using the windows button.
I did it twice. My clan mate had the same experience.
I got past the server screen then I waited about 8 minutes and quit.
yes. that UE4-ConanSandbox picture in Rhiannons post.
i’ve tried firing up the game since my last post. I havent got that fatal error message and still hanging up.
rebooting and trying again a bit later.
Are you playing in single-player, coop, private online or in an official server?
I play
official-server (no problem),
private-server with mods (no problem) and
single-player (crashes with and without mods).
This issue only ever occurs in single-player.
What were you interacting with when the crash occurred (furnace, vault, and so on).
If moving items, what items were you moving or interacting with.
Just hitting “Continue” from the Main Menu after a fresh boot up. The screen changes a couple times, as if it’s loading, before crashing.
Does this crash repeat itself every time you do the reported action or does it happen randomly?
If I start a new single-player game? I can play with no problem.
If I exit to the Main Menu… and then return to “Continue” that single-player game? Also fine.
If I close the game entirely… and then restart it, and then return to “Continue”? It will always and forever after freeze.
All in all, this game is my absolute favorite. And while I would happily keep my computer up 24/7 for Conan Exiles, unexpected system updates and/or power outages will ruin that strategy in the long-term.
That’s a weird one @Princess_Pink. Just in case, do you have write/read permissions on the folder where your saved databases are located? Or any antivirus software that could be interfering with the reading/writing of that file during the first startup?
@Rhiannon Thanks and apologies for the frustration.
@Ignasi What a surprisingly swift response - thanks!
I have full read/write access and only Windows Security/Defender (which has never had to flag anything). And my “Saved” folder has plenty of Data Base Files, all updated and modified whenever I play (or try to).
In fact, I just tried to hit “Continue” again and I noticed - despite crashing - it still created a “game” and “game_backup_1” Data Base File when I did so.
Also, this new “game_backup_1” is 432kb. The map I was playing last night I presume is “game_backup_2” and 428kb. So maybe it IS reading the map before freaking out?
I also notice “game_backup_#” files for last night, the day before (26th), the 23rd, the 22nd. I thought all those old files would just be overwritten, hmm.
So again, the game functions fantastic online - with and without mods. But my single-player experience has been like a Buddhist Mandala, spending hours on ornate projects that turn back to scattered sand as soon as I log off.
Worst case scenario, I simply wait and pray a future update catches whatever the snag is. But I’ve modded other games before, so I’m not averse to any weird experiments if someone has an idea.
We’ll send note to our team anyways to see if there is anything strange going on on our end, but by the looks of it it’s similar to other situations in which, say, the antivirus blocks momentarily the db file the first time it is loaded into memory (to check for threats or such) which causes the game to hang up as the file suddenly became inaccessible.
Anyways, if you get the crashing report pop-up, could you also click send so we can get a look? (if you could also fill the text box with any details, at least the first couple of times, it would help our team get a sense of context and isolate the problem).
Thanks again.
