A Dragon that can be tamed and flown around.
Ark will help you with that
ARK is NOT Conan!
A straight up no from me as it’d make scouting pointless when you can just hop on your’e dragon fly up and pick a target, this game needs more content not ways to bypass the content that’s already there and scouting the land is one of the biggest part of the game.
Exactly. So why are you trying to turn Conan into Ark?
This request has come before in the past. You can read more about it here if you like.
One major issue outlined there within is that Dragons in Conan do NOT fly. They dont even have wings.
A tamed dragon pet, perhaps. But there are no flying dragons in Conan.
** Finding a recipe in the Unnamed City as a “loot” (exotic taming recipe) would be a nice “end game” pet mechanic to coincide with the fragments of power recipes.
That was be awesome !!
And CONAN is NOT ark.
In the books dragons were more like monitor lizards or komodo dragons. But bigger. Nothing ever flew in Conan.
It was a middle grade of fantasy. You had sorcery yes. But flying dragons. No.
When they did include a winged Dragon in AOC that was interesting to me, because nothing like that ever existed in Conan lore.
Map is still to smal for mounts and flying mobs 7caracters will not come. It was a made so when they made the vanilla game. The only flying things is 100% cosmetic in this game.
You could easily word your reply without the passive-aggressiveness.
No matter how abstract their idea/suggestion is, you should always be constructive. You aren’t bringing anyone up by giving replies like that.
For more information on mounts, see https://conanexiles.gamepedia.com/Upcoming_features#Cancelled_features
“Unfortunately, we will not be launching with mounts or pets. Mounts were one of the most requested features, and we have spent a lot of time trying to make it work for Conan Exiles. Due to technical limitations with the way the game loads and streams the game world, we were unable to include a feature that allowed players to move over a certain speed. Our coders worked hard to find a solution for this, but in a recent “point of no return” type meeting, we decided that their time is better spent on polish, bug fixes, and other features that we know can make it for launch.”
So yeah, seems the main issue with “mounts” in generally is speed and clipping through the map if you move faster than it can load… (Still seems like the obvious solution is just not give us anything that lets us exceed sprint speed, and instead have mounts work as a stamina buff instead…) I think in theory we could still get mounts, but they would be slow pack animals that are more focused on sustained speed over longer distances as opposed to the quick burst of speed that sprints are.)
Based on wording you provided, it can indeed happen some day. I would like to know if they gave more announcements about this issue though.
At no time I want to offend anyone. expose my opinion about ark. and if it is offensive for you to advise that you inform yourself about the fictional world of conan before suggesting things that do not agree with that world. I’m sorry but what I say is true. Regarding the way of saying it may be due to the translator I use.
You need to understand that not everyone is constantly going through the forums and reading everything. Not everyone has ever EVER heard of Conan before this game. Some play it simply because it was free. Others are die-hard Conan fans. You need to lighten up, and be constructive. I don’t care what translator you use, aggressiveness translates to aggressiveness. Leave it alone.
It might be that something accepted in a culture is frowned upon another. Translators don’t take these notions into account sadly so the sincerity variable is sometimes lost to ether.
No.
You don’t get to ride dragons in conan’s world. They just eat you. Possibly after burning you alive. That’s the kind of fantasy setting conan’s world is. Low fantasy. Not High fantasy.
Hey there,
We can’t add dragons until we find a way to make the dragonrider be able to hear any bells. Think of Sepermeru!
