Anyone else experiencing a situation where they go talk to Freya at her house between quests, and she’s stuck on “Returning Home?”
This is on an official server (PS), and i have literally waited real world days.
If so, do you know a work around?

It is happening on my private server. I wonder if it is the same Freya I talked to. Once she showed up at a team mates base

Sorry man. I know of one other person on a server I don’t participate, but nobody on any server I play on is having a problem.
I did the quest three times to see, and the only issue I had was going to Stormwatch before I talked to her, and I had to do it again.

There are multiple reports of the same issue, on all platforms
example (PC)
example (PC - Funcom acknowledged)
example (XBox)
example (XBox - Funcom acknowledged)
example (ps4 - Funcom sort of acknowledged)
The issue was also reported during testlive - yet somehow was not fixed in the recent ‘hotfix’ (I guess the main ‘selling point’ of the Age wasn’t deemd important enough…)
(This isn’t meant to suggest that you should not be reporting it - I absolutely think you should be reporting it - but maybe there is something in one of these threads that could offer some help to you in the meantime. And, if not, at least you know you are not alone…)

I had this problem. but every time I got the returning home msg. you were not suppose to meet Freya at her hut. She would be at were the next quest would start after you were done hunting the animals. IE New Asgarth near the totem by the entrance, or volcano close to the forge. the last step where u fight the witch just north of the entrance of the small camp where your told to go but farther out than the other 2 spots

TY. Now that you mention the volcano, that sounds familiar. I’ll have to go searching.

Every time I’ve seen Freya at her hovel she’s been in the “returning home” state. I was able to start her quest fine and continue every time I’ve needed to meet her there and continue.
Have you tried to interact with her or just left because of the “returning home” label?
We can assume all we like. At this point I have given up all faith in Funcom, and do not believe they care at all.
They cannot even be bothered to answer the repeated polite requests that have been made to find out whether another patch is being worked on (for any of the major bugs plaguing this ‘Age’) or whether we will have to wait a further six months for the next chapter. (The pattern in previous Ages was: step 1 - release buggy main update; step 2 - release a single ‘hotfix’ several weeks later, step 3 - no more fixes until the next chapter (but they were only 3 months apart, whereas they have now moved to a six months schedule).)
After years, and thousands of hours, I have uninstalled the game and no longer read the forums except to respond to direct messages or tagged questions such as yours. Any response from Funcom will now be too late for me. I wish you luck for the future.

So today I decided that after 27 days of “Returning Home” I would and waiting for Freya to appear and ask me to accompany her to Nordhof, I decided to revisit everywhere Freya had appeared during her quest. I thought that she might have been stuck somewhere and thus not able to appear where I expected her to in order to progress the quest to the next stage. I watched pixelcave’s video and went everywhere again…no Freya.
On a hunch, I went ahead and went to Nordhof and surprise surprise there she was waiting for me. She wasn’t stuck, the quest skipped a stage and had been waiting for me to show up the whole time. I don’t know if this will fix your issue, but I wanted to let you know what happened to me to see if it helps.
I’m still not very happy the quest broke, but hopefully my post will help someone get past this faster than I did.

A fellow clan mate found my Freya outside the perimeter of hovel and I finally finished quest.

Yes. She did not show up after 8 hrs, so I went to her and saw she was “Returning Home”.
I walked in front of her and hit the square (PS5), and she responded and continued the quest. To date, I have completed 6 quests with her on official and private.
